Sound Transitions is proud to present a masterfully produced EP from Overkissed. Comprised of two originals and three remixes, Overkissed's Foolish EP is a whirlwind of skittering rhythms, delicate pads, catchy hooks, and plenty of emotion. Overkissed takes a simple vocal sample and puts it front and center for the heavy duty house workout that is "Foolin' Me." With "Foolin' U" he builds a world of interlocking drums, swirling vocals snippets, growling bass, and emotive synthwork. Rounding out the EP are three interpretations of "Foolin' Me" from Selfhood, Max Ulis, and Gloved Hands that all pull the original into strange, compelling new territories with Electro, Breaks and Leftfield House all under one release. Nikki Nair (@nikki-nair) rounds off 2020 with a return to Scuffed Recordings for the ‘Trying To’ EP, featuring three new originals and a remix from Hermeth (@hermeth).

Opening the EP with ‘Justtryingto’, Nikki comes straight out of the blocks with a French Touch-esque disco sample giving way to glitchy breaks and weighty bass. Next up is the supercharged ‘Trunk’, an all-out warper clocking in at 150bpm.

On the B-side is ‘cclluubb’, a broken-beat DJ tool which sees Nikki’s trademark vocal sampling carrying along a Baltimore Club-influenced beat. Closing out the EP is Swiss producer Hermeth, who brings a rowdy injection of acid to his remix of ‘Justtryingto’.
