To celebrate Grid 2nd anniversary, we gathered together thirteen earth-shattering tracks from the bass scene’s most promising creators, all aimed to move you in the most primordial way. Evoking images of vast landscapes and deep underground catacombs.

This compilation takes the listener deep into the earth with twisted percussion workouts from the likes of Jabes, Piezo, Ronan and Sister Zo… and back into the light with serene compositions from E-unity, Tammo Hesselink and A Psychic Yes, whilst Jay Duncan, Basile3 y Clara!, Jonny From Space, Flaty, Seekersinternational, and blu-e join the dots with their genre-defying creations.

As was the case with Grid’s previous compilations 'Improvisations' and 'Da Capo Al Coda', the label once again puts its stamp on a moment in the underground by collecting together productions of the highest quality that push the boundaries but undeniably make you want to move.

With Slipstreaming, the first split EP on the label since 2021, Ma Sha (@masha-ny) teams up with Sobolik (@tomsobolikmusic) to return to Kindergarten origins in collaboration and pure energy. Taking cues from each other’s unfinished projects and bouncing ideas back and forth, the pair serve up the fastest EP the label has released to date.

Hassan Abou Alam is next to step up to the unconventional Nerve Collect label with six tracks of futuristic club-ready chaos. The finely crafted EP arrives in August and comes on 12" vinyl and via all digital platforms.

Hassan Abou Alam has established himself as one of Egypt's most innovative underground musicians over the last 10+ years. His music is a meeting of disparate worlds - organic and synthetic designs, digital and analogue tools, the traditional and the futuristic, and it has come on the likes of YUKU, Rhythm Section, Banoffee Pies and Casa Voyager. His versatile sound pulls apart existing genres and reconstructs them as something entirely new.

Opener '3asabi' is a stylish sonic assault with thumping rhythms and trippy oscillations that will get any dance floor bouncing. It's fun yet functional, serious yet seductive.

Hassan Abou Alam's blurring of the lines between the real and the imagined is second to none on this EP. It's a sub-heavy mix of the human voice, machine-made sounds and inventive rhythms that make for something new, weird and wonderful.

The new bass-centric record label “Low End Therapy is the brainchild of French born, Berlin based DJ, producer and sound engineer Monibi and German electronic musician Ultramax. Before launching as a label in 2025, Low End Therapy started off as Monibi’s radio format on refuge Worldwide. Repping all things bass, from breaks, to dubstep, grime, and anything loosely related to beat science and the hardcore continuum spectrum be it, 808 hip hop beats, d&b, all the way to experimental bass and ambient.

The opening track “Ride On” by Insomniast, Bristol native & former Vietnam resident, dives straight into percussive club-ready goodness. Insomniast’s music totally encapsulate the boundary free ethos of Low End Therapy: “Sometimes I’ll get hyped on too much coffee and write a 150 bpm speed garage or house tune, on other days I’ll make something even I can’t define. I enjoy this element of randomness.” 
2025 is Insomniast’s biggest year yet with various things forthcoming on Ommaya, Club Designs, Yuku, Raiders, and Raw Planet, as well as more on Posse Up!, Seafront, W133.

Rooted in his Bristol upbringing and no doubt charged by the
city's ‘something in the water’ effect, Berlin-based Insomniast
distills the raw energy of the low-end underground into a hazy,
euphoric morning after on First Light EP—the fifth vision from
Delphic Iris Records.

Extending genre-twisting bass music motifs, he weaves lively
distinct 808 rhythms, rave-tinged vocal chops and stabs, and
bass grooves into a journey through night’s intensity and
daybreak’s hazy reflections.

At its peak, Chasing Streams and 1024 bang hard with a skewed
fusion of UK bass and playful ghetto tech rawness, both
punching through with chest-rattling energy.

As the night fades, First Light, Higher, and Live in Love summon
a more expressive, hazed-out euphoria, blending broken
hypnotic rhythms with warm house music sensibility—the sound
of a morning spent in the park, bluetooth speaker humming,
Lambrini flowing, mates chatting shit, and the echoes of the night
before still drifting in the background.

Low End Therapy is back in its label form: presenting you today with LOW002 aka “Minor Details” the new EP from Bristol native, former Vietnam resident, Berlin based producer Insomniast! The EP is urgent, ominous, bass heavy, and just feels right for the dance.

“Minor Details EP” is a selection of tracks that seem like they wrote themselves. The EP name reflects the process of finishing the music, which consisted in polishing only minor details.
The EP ranges across the 130 - 145 bpm spectrum. At times it’s dark, dubbed out and trippy like “Without U”. “The Only One” is playful with a grimy bounce which lightens up the general menacing vibe of the EP. “No Filter” goes raw and fast: no BS, just full energy. “What It Takes” closes the EP by helping us land gently in groovy and sultry territories.
