"Meet Me in Seattle is a song about longing, and I wrote it about somebody who is no longer in my life. I had been in a really long relationship prior to this song, and we had always talked about moving to Seattle. After we broke up, it still crossed my mind from time to time. It was not a very clean breakup, and we kept talking to each other, wishing that in some universe, we could meet in Seattle. This song is about the tragedy of our relationship not being written in the stars. It is talking about how I wish that it could work someday, but I know that it can't, and how I only realized how much I loved her after it all fell apart." ~ Josh Fudge
