Body of Water is the first collaboration between Scottish electronic alt-pop duo Post Coal Prom Queen and Japanese electro-pop band Macaroom. 

The track is a unique blend of beautiful electroacoustic composing, Lily Higham’s ethereal vocal harmonies and Emaru’s breathy rapping in her native Japanese. Body of Water is the perfect song for spring; its hazy atmosphere and lush arrangements, combined with two stunning vocal performances, make it unlike anything you’ve heard before. 

Body of Water will be released on all digital platforms on the 15th of May 2020.

Macaroom is a Japanese electro-pop band founded by vocalist Emaru and composer Asahi. They’ve released three acclaimed albums - room-103 (2010), homophone TE (2016), and swimming classroom (2018) - and several EPs, including a pop recomposing of  John Cage’s work. Asahi, also known as Gaku Kiishi, is the author of the best-selling book Decomposition - an easy way to compose contemporary music.

Post Coal Prom Queen are Lily Higham and Gordon Johnstone - the songwriting duo behind the band L-space and their three critically acclaimed albums; Kipple Arcadia (2018), Music for Megastructures (2019), and Feed The Engines! (2020). Their songs and compositions have been heard on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, BBC Radio Scotland, and have garnered international acclaim.

Post Coal Prom Queen (FKA L-space) are Lily Higham and Gordon Johnstone. PCPQ have developed a unique sound by blending organic textures, retrofuturistic synths, and mechanical beats with ambitious pop sensibilities - fused together with Lily's distinct vocals.
