Journalist, filmmaker (https://gazafightsforfreedom.com/​) and Empire Files (https://twitter.com/EmpireFiles​) host Abby Martin (https://twitter.com/AbbyMartin​) refused to sign a pro-Israel pledge which promised to not participate or advocate the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. She was asked to sign the oath in January, 2020 when she was set to deliver a keynote speech at Georgia Southern University. When she refused, her talk was canceled. In February, 2020 Martin, together with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF), filed a federal free-speech lawsuit against the University System of Georgia, for the “unconstitutionality” of its decision.  The law suit reads that, "The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia... conditioned an invitation to speak at an academic conference on the Plaintiff agreeing in writing to abandon her First Amendment-protected journalism about and political advocacy for the rights of Palestinians. The Complaint alleges violations of the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution under 42 U.S.C. § 1983."

This is a really rough improv recording.  I am learning how to mic and record.  If I remember correctly there is a blip that I couldn't compress which creates a volume spike. It might startle you. I put this up a few months ago and took it down thinking I was going to get some better tracks done.  My computer subsequently crashed.  It is back up and running.  Should have some better recordings next month.

Rhizome Connectome feat. F. Cator-Lime

A feature of this piece is dual scales in contrary motion, it starts right out with them. This track is mostly alternating chords in both hands with the melody on the 16 foot wooden trombone in the feet.  The reprise has the same.  The middle section is counterpoint in the hands only. My favorite part is all the scales in the pedals under the big chords leading to the reprise out of the middle section(2:01). Leading to the end, after the reprise, are massive chords in the hands out to 9ths with the feet going on like a pulping mill churning out Alberti bass(2:40). The end has chords out to the 13th.
