Since their debut february 29th 2016 Post Pines caught the attention of among others Nordic By Nature and This Is Scandinavia, as well as Spotify Playlisters and Swedish national radio (Emmecosta - Snowboy Post Pines Remix) setting the duo off for a successful start on what’s going to be a long journey - deep into the misty scandinavian woods.

Waterfall (foreverandever<3 Remix) embodies Post Pines minimal/narrative songwriting process, matched with foreverandever<3’s sci-fi techno-pop adventure, inspired by gritty dance music and science fiction books.

It started as a weird stalker relationship in the lunch hall of your average nine-to-five office building, passing experiments of cello bows on synth basses, a camping trip with recording equipment in the deep Scandinavian woods, and a DIY debut passing 120k streams on Spotify. One could say that the introvert duo each born and raised in small Swedish towns found themselves in an unexpected limbo in between safe and soft forest floors and the great cyberspace.

Now Post Pines prepares to release the debut EP Past Eyes (due to oct 28th), consisting of two ambiently driven and two rhythmic tracks which keep up the significance of Post Pines grandiose soundscapes and minimalistic narrative lyrics. If today’s musical conventions consist in build-up and explosion, Post Pines manifest their difference by implosive affects and sounds. Musical references can be noticed in Bon Iver, YouthLagoon and Phoria as well as Sigur Rós, a soundtrack to both naive daydreams and poetic life situations relatable to those viewing themselves as emotional personalities.

May 19th a new ultra co-lab sees the light: Summer Heart, soon to release his debut album, and the soul-pop-duo KHOE has evolved and remixed Post Pines instrumental track Blood from the debut EP Past Eyes.
 
Blood has been ornamented with Isabel Neibs characteristic and carrying voice, aswell as duo partner Robin Lindvalls and Summer Hearts productions. The track version is the last part of Post Pines debut cycle - now looking ahead at new productions and live gigs with the band's new live drummer.

KHOE released their debut EP SECRETS in January and saw support from both Spotify and Swedish National Radio. Summer Heart many of us already know from the chill wave era, seeing success in the releases of tracks such as I Wanna Go and Please Stay. This summer his debut album finally sees the light, the first single from it already to be released June 2nd!

It’s been a while. We’ve made various inner and outer journeys since we last released any music. We’ve fumbled in the bright of day with almost everything and not until recently has these journeys naturally taken the shape of music. But we’re in a better place now, on a much better path.

Late night experiments with cello bows on electric guitars, a camping trip with borrowed synths in the woods of Östergötland and a DIY debut that mysteriously made its way into HBO’s The Young Pope is what initiated the journey for Julius Norrbom and Joakim Andersson. The Swedish duos self taught and open approach to electronic music continues to evoke imploding soundscapes and minimalistic narratives in constant flux.
