On Capsule Love, Mente3000 is joined by MODULE. Together they come up with an arctic headnodder riffing around a pounding kick and a joyful vocal sample. Refreshing like a snowball in the face.

Next, Beatrix Weapons flips 7774L1F3 with a creeping crawling bass and hyper hi-hats, building to a sequence of spontaneous avalanches.

ENN is a producer and DJ based in the south of Mexico City whose sound embodies a constant search for hybridization and the deterritorialization of club music. This remix reframes a classic Future vocal into OS76's gritty and unworldy soundscape.

☄ In May, longtime Vief collaborator halle o’malley got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year old Palestinian musician called Samih, whose life has been torn apart as a result of Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home was destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud.
 
☄ Having spoken to Samih, Halle planned to sample one of these videos and donate the proceeds from the sales of the track to a gofundme set up for Samih’s family. She approached the label with the idea of turning this project into a compilation akin to previous Vief fundraiser releases.
 
Taipei-based DJ and producer B E N N, who also runs @overmybodytw is one of our favorite producers. Check out this hybrid percussive club banger.

Daniel Barrera aka OS76 is a digital image and sound creator and a cultural manager based in Iztapalapa on the eastern periphery of Mexico City. As OS76, his productions connect rhythms and sequences inspired by ritual, devotion, and the street, blurring genres into pieces that stimulate and encourage.

Forceful bass envelops frenetic compositions representing the aggressiveness and corrosion of daily life in near-uninhabitable expansion zones. Vocal samples dictate unashamed mantras, demanding we obey our instinctive and animal aspects while accepting our contamination by the murky landscapes that surround us. In the nuclear residue of cities, the energies of forgotten populations erupt. A disorienting flow of untameable asperity, a chaotic resonance transmitted from the peripheries."

'Virgen de la Oscuridad', el nuevo álbum del artista ecuatoriano 1RM40, nace de una
necesidad creativa, lúdica y sonora. Esta obra se desarrolla como un sistema de
pensamiento espiritual a través del diseño sonoro, integrando elementos de la cultura
popular latinoamericana y elementos inusuales como memes de internet, audios de la vida
cotidiana y síntesis modular. El resultado es una textura musical libre de las limitaciones
habituales del lenguaje, estilo u ortodoxia, invitando al oyente a reflexionar sobre sí mismo
mediante beats de club psicodélicos y ritmos subversivos.
El segundo track del álbum, "ALDE", incorpora un meme de dos niñas rapeando en una
fiesta de cumpleaños, animadas por el beatbox de un payaso. Este elemento de cizaña, riña
y tiradera se contextualiza dentro del baile funk con bajos de drill, rindiendo homenaje al
arte puro y duro de la situación misma. La idea espontánea se manifiesta a través de
sintetizadores espaciales y fantasmales superpuestos, creando una atmósfera única y
envolvente.

‘Virgen de la Oscuridad’ (SSD-021) tendrá su estreno el 19 de Septiembre en todas las
plataformas por Santa Sede.

Asa Nisi Masa's warming 'Drunk With All My Friends' opens up the many worlds of the Dublin act's sound. Heel cutting guitar distortion, frosted key melodies, and calming vocals merge with an underlying electronic grunge on this ode to friends made along the way. 

Another slight veer away from the club coated stuff we have come to be obsessed with by the artist, but this sound direction has us equally as excited. 

The track comes accompanied with a video of memoirs to nights gone by, directed by the talented Cian Donohue.
