This set was recorded at the Silverpoint System - Forest Gathering, March 2017. Deep in the Adelaide hills, I tried to choose tracks that fit being psychedelic in the forest on a beautiful starry night. My set went 10:30 - 11:30pm & included psychedelic tracks from 1968 - 2017, with a lot of classic Goa from 1995-2000.

Plinky's First Rodeo is my first track released as Potential Human! Made in the new studio, it's third time lucky as my other two studio ventures in 2003 & 2007 only generated rough tracks and unfinished ideas. 

This is a slower 130bpm track - a mixture of genres that just grew the way it did, without any formula. To me it maybe has some Techno and Psy elements as well as perhaps an old-skool Goa feel with the arpeggios, delays and synth line. I imagine playing it around sunset, or just grooving to it anytime, not necessarily made for specific DJ sets.

Made almost entirely in Cubase (Retrologue / Halion / Groove Agent) with just a Kick created in Kick 2 and some Guitar Rig FX. The hardware synths / FX and other software stayed in the box this time to ensure the track got finished in a timely manner!
