Is there actually a law of nature that states how important timing is? Because it is true: The greatest efforts are completely useless if the timing is off: wine, cheese, repotting a plant, or changing lanes on the highway... The worst part is that often we cannot influence the temporal component. And that's exactly what the new single by POULISH KID is about.
So what do you do when it's like "you wanna get in // but you're stuck outside"? How about closing your eyes, breathing, following the tapping of your feet, and transforming that diffuse feeling into a stable electronic-rock crossover hit? That's what POULISH KID seems to have done, and it could be that an all-around recipe for timing problems has just been discovered here. Available over the counter and without a prescription, the combination of electronic samples, driving synthy sounds, and live-played instruments pushes you back on track. The song was created during a one-hour Zoom conference with the Dutch artist Absent Chronicles. While he was tinkering with the beat, POULISH KID worked on the lyrics and then fine-tuned the instrumental afterwards. So, a good thing doesn't always have to take a long time, and even the year and a half that Paul worked on his debut album "In The Shadow Of A Giant" (to be released in autumn 2023) is relatively short for a newcomer. But as I said, whether something is very time-consuming or gets done quickly, timing, people, timing! Or as they say in the music scene: Timing first, James last.

Two goals so big, he’s basically been living inside them ever since.

Inspired by various artists such as Grandson, MØ, Oliver Tree, Germany-based, POULISH KID, radiate almost spring-like energy in their music that says: ‘let’s get going!‘ Sonically, their music can be described as brutally dreamy, alternative electronic synth beats along with a pounding bass that almost knocks you off your feet. With flashes of electro, it’s actually the soft indie sounds that bring one back down to earth, once they’ve been swept off their feet, that is. POULISH KID had their live debut in 2022 as they supported Oliver Tree and Gashi.  They played big shows at Sonne Mond Sterne Festival and Canaletto Dresden and got featured by ESKEI83 & NVDES.
