The first release from Markham Road comes in the form of a VA spined by frequent collaborators of its sister platform Infame Radio. The consequent nine tracks vary along a scale of percussive rhythms both relating to established and experimental ideas. As a trial in itself, this project took shape through exponential conversations between all those creatively involved.

Premier single de notre prochain album à paraître chez Human Disease Network, “NRJ du Désespoir”  annonce un virage radical par rapport à nos précédentes sorties, avec des synthétiseurs agressifs, des rythmes complexes et un soin particulier apporté au sound design.
Le morceau évoque l’ambiance racoleuse des émissions tardives de radios grand public où se succédaient canulars téléphoniques, derniers potins de stars et les hits du moment.
Ces références sont samplées et concassées jusqu’à l’abstraction dans un amalgame de sons empruntés à diverses esthétiques : breakbeat, trance, acid, garage et bass - des échos des années 2000 résonnant dans une ère futuriste et plurielle.

Pour le remix : On voulait que ce track soir remixé par Yssue, artiste russe installé à Paris qui nous a littéralement sidéré avec son album How To Survive a Bad Trip sorti l’an dernier chez Global Warming Records. L’accent est mis sur les samples de voix abstraits tirés de jingles radios et entraîne le morceau vers un territoire club avec une inventivité incontrôlable.
