Breaking Toys, the side project alter-ego of Vangelis Kostoxenakis, makes his single debut Single on d:vision with ‘Cold Rum’

The local talent from Athens has already brought forward a wave of slick Deep House sounds on the Berlin based Kling Klong Records, and this latest Release from the young talent shows just how impressive the scene is in Greece at the moment.

This addictive and contagiously groovy tune utilizes a simple beat, an irresistible rolling bassline, seductive synths and a warm hooky vocal sample from Diana Ross & The Supremes ‘Love Child’ to create an instantly recognizable dirty House number that infuses passion and won’t be leaving your head any time soon.

And we’ve got an impressive remix package including the London G-House technician Vanilla Ace and the Italian hottest producer right now Mappa.

Vanilla Ace has been building a quiet storm lately, arming himself with one smooth cut after the next for Labels including Off Recordings and Suara. He starts off proceedings with a bold and cheeky interpretation by combining his jackin beat and joyous groove with some truly funky rhythms, bassy garage vibes and Nu Disco influences making this quite a versatile Remix for fullness and optimized club flavor.

Peter Pan and Villa Delle Rose Riccione’s resident DJ Mappa in next up, finishing off the package with a much deeper rendition, providing an energetic, four-to-the-floor, Classic 808 House vibe version.
