Raised in Seoul, S.Korea and spent a great deal of time in Berlin, Germany, where he honed his production skills and started to produce his own music, Messiahwaits is an electronic music producer. His very first acid track, ‘Journey to Mars’ was featured alongside wonderful artists in Fiedel’s Berghain 08 mix which was recorded live in Berghain and released by Ostgut Ton on January 26, 2018. 

As of 2019, he started his residency at High-Tech Seoul (Warehouse Event run by Mixmag Korea) and launched his own music label called, “MHz”. 

Approaching music as an art form rather than falling into genres and stereotypes, Messiahwaits takes his audience on a musical journey filled with droning atmospheres, repetitive jacking rhythms and a dark, disturbed aura that never fails to send the dance floor into a frenzy.

Despite naming himself after a mythical egomaniac, Narciss’ approach to Techno is very far from selfcentered, with his inspirations reaching from the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft’s writing, across the jagged dystopian landscapes of Tsutomu Nihei, to the 90’s tool techno whitelabel-records he fell in love with in his teen years. Undeterred by the tonal difference in these influences though, the glue holding all of them together is an earnest sense of urbanity and Narciss’ audible wish to make a crowd move as ecstatically as possible.

Rooted to Genres like Gabber and Hardcore he began DJing in 2014. Keeping his style always developing YA pursues a recognizable creative aim. In 2017 he also joined the industrial techno collective "Rearguard" and released on several labels such as Eradys Records, Trouble and further more.

After getting off to a strong start last year following the creation of the record label Voight-Kampff, Whitley and his collective have been causing a ruckus around Scotland and have found themselves regulars at London’s Jaded. 

Whitley takes most of his inspiration from the old school, percussive drum driven techno sound coming from labels like Downwards and Tresor - as well as holding and taking a huge amount of interest in more recent Scandinavian techno and electronic music as a whole, namely from the Copenhagen techno scene.
