Stanislav Sevostyanikhin returns under his Kontext guise with four tracks of tightest dubtech minimalism on Immerse. These are his first Konext productions since the impressive 'Dissociate' album, continuing a trajectory into widescreen Dub techno and clipped, post-dubstep rhythm programming. 'No More Room In Hell' combines the luscious atmospheres of Pendle Coven or Bvdub with subtle glitching rhythms, while 'Daphnia Pulex' adds glassy electronic melodies and padded subs to the equation. Most interesting of all is 'Sattva', rolling raga drones into his morphing dub chords and crafty future garage stabs, kinda like Pole meets Farben on a dusky autumnal evening. If you ever wanted a more reduced Ramadanman, or a glitchier Appleblim, this is well worth checking. (c) Boomkat

The third mix in the series comes from shop regular Jon - and his long anticipated Psychic Rufffle finally taking place this Sunday 3rd November (postponed after the first date ending up the exact time/day of the Euros finals...)

Psychic Rufffle will be an evening of psychedelic downtempo sounds and sights from across the board - music to relax to on our sofas, glass of wine in hand, working up the energy for a little bop along later on to some spacey chuggers for those with some beans left in their legs. Warm sounds, cosy atmosphere, good old fashioned psychedelic visuals. This will be the perfect gentle recovery for those who join us late night at The Bridge the day before :)

The mix itself is an hour of utterly gorgeous home listening - an anything goes warm, fuzzy journey through a kaleidoscope of gentle ambient, head nodding krautrock, luscious crackly soul/jazz - autumnal sounds to draw the curtains to and get cosy on a sofa. And that's exactly what we've got planned for next Sunday.

"The second release of 3 Feet Deep takes on a darker tone, bringing together clubby tracks that are centered around strong basslines. Pépé Elle(@ppplprod) picks up right where he left off with “We Ain’t Taking Orders”—a furious track built around multiple hefty basslines, crispy hi-hats and snares, and a saturated 2-step beat. The following track “Alright Then”(@mainphase001) is a consistent construction of soulful chords and rolling snares with an altogether simplicity yielding the floor to the bassline to rule. On the first half of B side, London producer Ollie Rant(@oliver-rant) spans garage to jungle, sneaking in an array of sounds from an amen break to some cheeky strings, all the while keeping you on your toes in the best way possible. To close the EP, @zerofg offers a slice of his dark garage universe: a low-frequency bassline, deep-pressure kicks, and shuffling hi-hats and shakers, altogether threading the lines between fierce and dreamy—perhaps an accurate way to describe the entire EP."
