PPGMIX037 comes from Sheffield based power couple Wow and Flutter, a.k.a. Harry Shackleton and Lily Williams. The pair are behind the excellent 'Sheffield Cassette' blog which covers the city's underground dance music scene, including great interviews with artists, previews up upcoming listings and reviews of the best parties that are going on. Besides that though they're also absolutely wicked DJs who've been making a real name for themselves with a string of great sets. The chemistry is always evident when they play and they simply don't disappoint, so we've been very excited to see what they would put together for us. Featuring tracks from the likes of Posthuman, Jensen Interceptor, Jerome Hill and Cursor Miner, it definitely doesn't disappoint!

Hanagasumi - hazy curtain of flowers, cherry blossoms appearing from afar like a white mist - this phenomenon can be seen during the sakura blossom in Japan.

Introducing the second Hanagasumi release from Shine Grooves. This time the release has a slightly different sound character. The first side is minimalist and abstract rhythms filled with twisty synth sequences, seasoned with house sauce and stringy keyboards.
The second side has an ambient mood. The first 2 tracks contain soft synth parts and melodies, which are supported by broken rhythms and magical percussion. The final track in the release is reminiscent of the minimal and glitch house of the early 2000s, which will allow you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of serenity.

Today we mark our 10th Rotations Round (the sun), and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a mix from our first interstate guest, one of the bright minds behind the @neurocrankk parties in Naarm/Melb, Allure (aka Chris @allurein). After being blown away by Chris' mixes, it was clear to us that he's an incredible DJ with an ear for the most interesting sounds. For this mix, Chris has gifted us an absolutely epic, near two hour trip to the outer-realms and back again. He weaves through dreamy Italo-Disco, psychedelic downtempo, goa trance, and IDM - and even features some unreleased material from the other Neurocrank guys! Strap in for a hell of a ride <3

If there was a Prince of Deptford, he’d rule his glorious kingdom from The Birds Nest pub, drinking cans outside with his subjects before retiring to his Royal Barge on the Great Surrey Canal. But as it is, Prince of Deptford (who is not the Prince of Deptford, keeping up?) currently lives in Berlin, a city that doesn't hate anyone out after 10pm.

PoD, aka Daniel Cherney, joins the dots between his former South-East London home, his current Germanic residence, and East London party central (global pandemic permitting) Dalston, where he co-runs the night Happy Endings – which also has an accompanying radio show.


Inside this scalene triangle of geo-musical influence is a swirl of minimalist techno, acid electronics, vocodered Italo and industrial broken beats. And at its centroid is Unsustainable, Cherney’s label born this year to provide a home for like-minded artists, as well as his own music, previously released on labels Squareglass, Sonic Moire and Verlag. 

Factor in one more line to join up FM, where he’s served as part of the team ensuring the party runs smoothly, and you’ll briefly glimpse a four-sided triangle – the god particle of polygons.

It's been a while since we dropped something fresh. However, it seems like we have the perfect recipe against a drooly day like today.  Vladi and UNVRSE recorded a very diverse mix when it comes to styles and vibes. Starting off with some slowed down trance, playing around with some broken and exotic beats and at the end high energy rollers. Prepare to make your living room a little rave, cause it sure is time to get down.
