PPG WaveMapper 2 is a greatly expanded version, with many new features, including the WaveMap and new resource merging possibilities.

PPG WaveMapper 2 comes with a very flexible synth engine, capable of playing material from classic wavetables as well as samples and a new type which we call “Time corrected sample” (TCS). This type still has the advantage of wavetables, which is totally random access of the material, but preserving the authentic sound of the original sample.

Just one of the new sounds created by one of our sound design team for the upcoming PPG Wavegenerator app.

This demo features a factory patch provided by Peter Gorges, a dark, haunting wavetable texture that constantly moves, using the classic wavetables from the legendary PPG. 

It also demonstrates one of the features that are "2012" about the new PPG: When played on the iPad, the Wavegenerator allows control of the sound per each key by moving fingers horizontally (CX control) or vertically (CY control) on the touch keyboard.

In this audio demo Russ Hughes from Pro Tools Expert uses the PPG WaveGenerator App via an Alesis iODock as a MIDI sound module. Multi tracks are achieved by bouncing each part when synched to the DAW.

This demo features just 4 presets from the PPG WaveGenerator App, and 2 drum loops. No additional reverbs or delays were added to the sound.
