The Ninjas are reunited!

NC4K, a dance music label based in Kyoto, have finally released their third "NC4K Collection", the series of their own popular compilation album.
Stones Taro, who releases remarkable tracks from labels in Europe and Japan in these years, runs the label with Lomax and Pee.J Anderson.

While the third compilation album possesses the respect towards House music, which is their core genre, it also contains plenty of UK bass music taste with jungle and breaks.

Starting with the managing members, well known producers such as Paperkraft, blackglass G, and producers from Kyoto, Tokyo, Yamagata and up to Armenia, each of the talented producers who goes through the scene are expressing their current vibes in the album.

Channeling the grit and power of east coast club music from his native Philadelphia to his current setup in Berlin, Squidbrain adds classic rave styles, a penchant for bass, and spontaneous A.D.D. energy to the mix, resulting in categorically off-kilter yet driving dance tracks.  

Compelled by the aversion to the restlessness of months of pandemic lockdowns, Squidbrain’s NC4K debut drops a set of hard-hitting, breakbeat-centric tracks seeking to knock off the dust of the underwhelming past.  Citing influences as wide ranging as Container, Kate Bush, DJ Rashad, and German language cream cheese commercials, these tracks, along with a remix by producer Paperkraft, do just that.  With pre-release support on outlets like Rinse FM, FJAAK’s Spandau20 podcast series, and Munich’s Radio 80000, DJs and listeners are latching onto what the restless Philadelphian abroad has to offer.

Releasing on October 1, 2021.
