“I haven’t been much of a “follow the rules” kind of guy ever since I put out my first record in the late 90s. I’m not a traditionalist, I fall more into the category of tourist. Hence the name, UFO! 

As a tourist I can look at different traditions and appreciate them without feeling bound to keeping it the same. UFO! embraces change. UK Jungle is the biggest influence in my early life as a producer, it’s in my DNA. In creating “Streets EP”, I use the tradition of what 90s UK jungle was and make it my own by mutating the programming. There are many change ups within the 16-bar length in some of these tunes, things do not roll out as traditional Jungle does. But I found this way of programming to come very natural to me.

I live in San Francisco, California aka The Bay Area where we get good sun and are surrounded by incredible diversity. I have always seen myself as a part of the innovative history that The Bay has given to the world in music, film, and literature.

Vjuan Allure, a name that surely needs no introduction. Performer, DJ & radio personality iconic for his inimitable role in cultivating scenes in NYC, across the states and beyond through his ear for reconstructing dance music & club culture.

Vjuan has recently had mainstream involvement in influencing the global LGBTQ community by appearing on ‘Ru Pauls Drag Race’ season 9 and featuring as the main producer of Ru’s latest Album and his ‘Category Is’ used in the final four performance challenge.

Later this year Vjuan offers up the raw & underground side of his music by unearthing and repurposing a previously unreleased track from 2006. The Prjkts crew are blessed with the opportunity to release a remix EP of the ballroom stomper “Runway Diva” including a fast paced stunt worthy weapon from Bob Traxx & an absolutely criminal Techno inspired weapon from Gang Fatale and Night Slugs prodigy Neana which feels like it would be most at home in a sweat soaked warehouse at 6am on a Monday morning. 

This project consists of an extended Elite Re-Run by Vjuan of the original runway track + three more remixes from Elite Beats family NIGHTSHADE, CVNT TRAXXX & UPTOWN NIKKO.

Shoot Recordings has enlisted Russian Footwork Jungle specialist A.Fruit to remix the Root For The Villian & Calculon collab "Collusion" off Root For The Villain's forthcoming "Meazels" EP. She delivers a cutting footwork jungle banger laced with siren vocal stabs and heavy gunshot like riddims. Like much of her production we've come to love its a hybrid of mysterious, dark and twisted sonics with a unique sharp rhythmic approach.

After blasting onto the scene last month with a monstrous jungle track from TMSV, London-based imprint Sub Merchants are pleased to share with you ‘Marathon’, a 160bpm stomper from Leeds’ own Samurai Breaks  - the second in a monthly series of singles, that will ultimately culminate in a full compilation EP exploring the contemporary evolution of jungle music.

‘Marathon’ is a fantastically definitive demonstration of the sound Samurai Breaks has recently become known for, combining elements of jungle, footwork and old-school hardcore in a sound that is quite uniquely his own, making use of a clap-heavy drum pattern paired with a colourfully thick bassline bound to put any soundsystem to the test. Toting previous releases with the likes of Off Me Nut Records, Halogen Beats and Elektrical Records, the latter of which saw Addison Groove behind the wheel on the remix, Samurai Breaks is clearly making his own distinctive mark on the scene, and ‘Marathon’ is no exception.
