Woke is about systemic racism and police brutality that is affecting people of color not only in the United States, but around the world. It is to call attention for us as a nation to become woke from a sleep state to fight for justice. Not in a destructive  but peaceful way. People of color must know who we are in our skin, and present ourselves as royalty and claim back our lives.

Prøphęt is a Neo-Soul recording artist from North Carolina. His unique tone, endless voice range, and symbolic songwriting skills uniquely defines who he is. A self-trained singer who learned from listening to his mother Karla Townsend and singing at Powerhouse Church of Jesus Christ in Raleigh North Carolina, is how he established his singing roots. His craft was also inspired by other amazing artists such as: Jonathan McReynolds, Fred Hammond, Whitney Houston, & Erykah Badu. Prophet’s goal is to inspire millennials around the world, especially young adult African Americans to believe in themselves and to leave a legacy for generations to come.
