Jana is an Egyptian music producer, guitarist, and DJ with an extensive musical background. She often implements inspirations from drum n bass, breakbeat, hip-hop and underground Egyptian music in her live sets, bridging the gap between Western beats and Oriental sound experimentation.

This hour-long set kicks off with one of her original productions, ‘Makulma 001’, mixed alongside a banger of a set, including tracks like ‘Ectoplastic’ by Reptant, and later, Herman’s ‘Solidarity Breaks’, and more.

Between body and soul, there’s a thread. A thread of patience, faith.
The soul knows, the body wants.
In this slow mix, I alternate between giving in to my body’s urges and my soul’s longing. Should I be c*nt? Should I be a hermit? Should I be both? None?
I realized afterwards it was my mind that was inhibiting me, my mind that was drawing the boundary between body and soul, that was preventing me from reaping the wisdom of both.
The soul needs you to embody what it knows. Otherwise you’re still nowhere. You’re in your mind. Body and soul are soulful, body and soul are bodily.
