Wrongfully demonized by Western culture and media, vodou is an ancient practice of spirituality that had later been assimilated and shaped by the bondage of slaves and oppression of people of color. 

However despite this, it had played a strong part in fuelling the Haitian revolution where many former slaves won their independence from french colonists and to this day it is still practiced by healers and the pure intentioned from many corners of the world. 

Unfortunately, it continues to be given a bad and sinister reputation from old books, films and even modern television series. Vodou more than often is highly misrepresented due to age old racism and culture shock.  

I am not religious myself, but I am always open as I am curious. 
During the time I had spent learning about the many cultures that took play this particular religion I had been completely fascinated by the many characters of Ancestral and god like spirits known as the Loa. In a time of uncertainty, it had given me inspiration. So me and multitalented Producer Practical Effect made a song. And We dedicate it to the Loa’s of a Lost kingdom.
