This ontological transformation, and the impossibility of observing it, and therefore the removal of the concept of 'learning', sounds a bit like a Xeno's Paradox. There doesn't have to be 'a moment' of learning. There just has to be the 'proof' of having learnt, through 'doing properly/better'.

This question of the 'criticality' of practice theory is so imporant. Earlier, you outlined that the “dimensions in which things happen" are Language Work and Power (Habermas), but Elizabeth stopped you on power, and shifted the discussion to a hostorical account. We know that quote from marx on understanding/transforming. The example of the Wartime picnic is interesting. The conditions of possibility have changed with climate change, but only in a theoretical and scientific knowledge (discursive) way. In terms of the Stoic philosophy discussed, our technical knowledge tells us that the consequences for humanity if we continue to act on a non-war footing will be catastrophic, but perhaps it is the case that only material arrangements and social/political arrangements actually transform practice. Cultural and discursive arrangements are not transformative enough on their own?
