Dee Conaghan has played an absolute blinder with this and really sets the tone for how this label is due to operate. Starting off with pure intent to rock your socks off, the build and early drop are massive!! Great fill FX and builds create a great atmospheric soundscape. Tony Hollingsworth returns to the Practikal imprint but debuts for Practikal Black with his double EP 'The Realm EP'. After previously releasing on Practikal Recordings with a collaboration with Merc and their track 'Execute'... Tony is going solo and brings to you 'The Realm' and 'L.S.D'. Both harder hitting releases which suit Tony's successful DJ style down to a tee. First up we have the title track 'The Realm'..... with a cheeky little vocal sample from 1992 with C'hantal's release. With a very effective old-skool and hard dance vibe to the melody and kicks, this is going to pack a punch on some dancefloors. Secondly, backing up the release is 'L.S.D'. This being his debut solo release and one which has been through the motions big time. Yet again the vocal sample in the forefront of a beautiful female vocal chop is sure to get the mouth watering with this one. Abide comes with a harder edge EP and this time named 'Decode EP'. Firs tup is the aptly named title track 'Decode', the harder driving, melodic number with a really good opening sequence....which leads into a nice breakbeat and melo. A pure driving Trancer which is sure to do some damage on the dancefloors around the globe. Suiting it's title also and with nice overtones and a good groove this is sure to win some favourites. Then comes the accompaniment which starts off really well and quite dark with its kick and bass combo. Yet again the introduction and opening sequence is strong with bass notes leaving you wanting more.  With a stunning and effective short breakdown and strong crisp combos throughout, this concludes this fantastic EP. 'After Midnight' is brilliant from start to finish. Full of great Tech Trance FX, the builds are huge and the opening sequence is killer for a dancefloor. The attention to detail in this track is phenomenal..... with stunning chunky kicks and bass line leading the line. The breakdown is pure and creates a beautiful atmosphere with a fantastic key sequence. Very different overlay sounds which stand it out from the rest makes this a must for the Tech Trance lover!! Mike Sang debuts for Practikal Black with a collaboration with a fellow Mexican and multi-Practikal releaser 'Dahnniel'. 'Stellium' is something special and deserves the early accolades it's receiving. Stunning opening sequence and the melody is so infectious you will be humming this for days to come after hearing it!! With great vocal fx shots, big fx and builds and effective acid lines.... this is Tech-trance at it's finest. The breakdown is immense and the attention to production detail is second to none. A crisp and chunky track with the ability to leave the trance fanatic breathless and wanting more. It is accompanied by a second track which is a rework by 'Dahnniel' himself, a bouncier version which is becoming a bit of a trademark sound for the young Mexican. A big hitter with lots of fx madness. His fills are infectious and the melody line is stripped back to leave room for more bosh. This gives the EP a great balance. As she goes from strength to strength so does her production. With a crisp master working wonders on the chunky, punchy kicks and bass. The vocal sample is effective and the melody line in the breakdown is absolutely golden. This is going to get some serious attention this release!! The track is magical and the early attention it is receiving is magical too. VaNISH returns to Practikal after brilliant remix duty for the White label for Nicola Maddaloni's release in May 2019. But this is pure filth from start, with dark undertones it sets the mood from the off. The kicks and builds at the start are dark and mysterious. The fx and fills are mustard, leading the line with the driving arps and lead sounds. Then comes the really well drilled and finely tuned breakdown....this will leave you wanting more and eagerly anticipating the drop. The build is sublime and the drop kicks ass.... This is a dirt-filled beauty and the Tech trancer and hard dance lover will be all over this release like a rash. A definite in our rekordbox.... what about yours? Epic opening sequence and nice bass key changes are what we are expecting every time from 'Waen'. With a nice dropout ready for the breakdown, the melody line and keys come into play and they are different and mesmerising. Simple and effective lights the path and in this instance this is very true. A lovely trance build and the drop is one to savour.... melodic and punchy. Suits and fits the track perfectly.
