Releasing a new cajun style version of “There’s a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis”. Featuring Sarah Jane Morris on backing vocals, the CD 5 track EP is launching as a fund and awareness raising effort in support of UK Prostate Cancer. Tex Pistols were THE Punkabilly unit in the UK during the 1980’s- 2000. With a monthly residency at London’s iconic Break For the Border and featuring the choicest song selection of 1st generation Rock, C&W, and Rockabilly classics, the boys were often joined onstage by visiting musician’s like Nick Lowe, Doug Sahm, Carlene Carter, and Paul Carrack.
Tex Pistols UK are: Philip Rambow, Paul Riley, Martin Belmont, Pete Thomas, Geraint Watkins and Bob Loveday.

Cold Cold Heart

This is the first mix of the demos done in 1979 with me on rhythm Gtr , Dave Cochran Bass, Laurie Jellyman Drums and Mick Ronson on lead guitar. Despite having Mick joining the band and doing sell out gigs all over London, Chris Thomas producing, and Bill Price engineering, Doug D'Arcy Chrysalis MD decided it was "just a thrash" and let the band break up. Mick went to New York with Ian Hunter and produced Ellen Foley who did 2 of my songs "Night Out" and "Young Lust". In disgust at Chrysalis' decision (the last straw") Chris Briggs my A&R man left and signed me to EMI. But that took a year and when Chrysalis wanted paying for the 24 track master I freaked out and vowed to do a  better version. We did re-record it with Hugh Burns playing Mick's guitar parts, but it just wasn't as good as this.
