For American artist @nick-klein, music is a gateway deep into our collective and individual psyches. He explores loudness as a form and "the sociology and ideology that presents in self-identifying music subcultures." He does this with his own @psychicliberation label, we all as with music on the likes of L.I.E.s and Viewlaxx. Next up for this prolific producer is a forthcoming double album - roughly his 15th overall - on IDEAL that will continue to explore the fringes of electronic sound with a bank of trusted modulated synths. 

Of this week's mix, Nick says, "Happy Valentine's Day! The hour of material here is a collage of releases that have come out in the previous three years on my label Psychic Liberation, or the collaborative installment of releases between Enmossed and Psychic Liberation known as ENXPL. Here you have layers of material that map the cloud of my music listening consciousness. The interior includes artists who have participated on PL since the 2013 inception. Artists like Berlin's Wilted Woman, ENXPL artists Bridget Ferrill or Rene Nunez's Horoscope project, the PL Seoul based crew of Yeong Die, Jiyoung Wi, and Joyul, prolific Iranian brother band powerhouse of Saint Abdullah, and founder of the Enmossed label Glyn Maier are found braided through each other sonically.

"While a lot of the work here isn't directly oriented towards the club setting, it could be congruous as an epilogue to an evening's more psychedelic potential. It is interesting to see how broadly sonic aesthetics in electronic music have shifted in the absence of major clubs operating at capacity, if at all. Hi, my name is Ian Yeriomenko. I'm a Foley Artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. I've also been known as a musician radiant futur. I've devoted all my life to music, I was doing it from early childhood.
Today I can't write music.
On February 24th, 2022, russian army invaded the territory of Ukraine. At 5 am regular troops of russian federation gad started fire our cities and villages, using multiple rockets launchers and ballistic missiles. Infantry and armoured vehicles trespassed the Ukrainian border. russian soldiers are killing civilians, they drop bombs and missiles on the residential houses, hospitals, schools, maternity hospitals.
In one moment vladimir putin and his kremlin gang of murderers and propagandists broke million lives of Ukrainians, including mine. I can't do my work of life anymore. Instead, I'm hiding in bomb shelters, volunteering in the meantime, and helping civilians and Ukrainian army. I'm shaking at every explosion I hear, and I don't if tomorrow day will come.

Now I understand that tomorrow I may not wake up, and I took a decision to upload my music as it is. "SESTRO" is a compilation of electronic music from the Odesa-based label система | system, designed to bring together musicians from Ukraine who have been released on our label and performed at events we have organized. For many years we strive to cover a wide, diverse, and adventurous spectrum of Ukrainian music. The goal of the compilation is to directly financially support (ГО Сфера) Sphere (@womenspheresolidarity) which is a Kharkiv-based organization that actively helps women and LGBT+ people from eastern Ukraine in territories that are heavily affected by war. NGO Sphere (ГО Сфера) supplies crisis kits for women in frontline areas and also provides financial assistance to vulnerable groups of women, organizes legal and medical consultations, provides psychological assistance, informational campaigns, and activist events.

"We have never had an experience of working with women in conditions of stress, shock, and grief like today. Now we are trying to gather our experience and the experience of our colleagues from other countries to help deal with the terrible consequences of the survivors" - Anna Sharygina, a representative of NGO Sphere (ГО Сфера).

We believe that giving visibility to Ukrainian culture is an important part of our struggle, because Russia's war against Ukraine is imperialistic in nature, and for three centuries the works of Ukrainian authors have been denied and destroyed.
We will never agree to be dominated. We want, as artists, to give all possible support through our work to the brave volunteers now active in Ukraine, who are heroically fighting to save the most vulnerable.

Ми вважаємо, що надання видимості українській культури є важливою частиною нашої боротьби, адже війна Росії проти України, має імперіалістичний характер і протягом трьох століть твори українських авторів_ок піддавали цензурі та знищували. Ми боремося проти Росії, що прагне нас колонізувати, ми боремося за нашу свободу, ми ніколи не погодимося, щоб над нами панували. Ми хочемо, як художниці_ки, своєю роботою надати всю можливу підтримку хоробрим волонтеркам, які діють зараз в Україні та відважно боряться за порятунок найуразливіших груп населення.

Λάθε Βιώσας (греч. живи незаметно)один из принципов в политической жизни эпикурейцев. Тирания сменяется демократией, в такой обстановке сложно не сложить голову. Поэтому Эпикур советовал не занимать официальные должности и не отдаваться столь переменчивой власти. Так и в музыке, всегда хочется остаться в стороне от официального: лейблов, релизов, форматов и даже вас, слушателей. Хочется делать музыку незаметно и незаметную. Пусть эпиграфом для этого релиза послужат слова одно из моих любимых поэтов, а именно Бориса Поплавского: "Никогда не следует выходить из круга любви, из своего света на внешний холод, никогда не следует удостаивать нелюбящего тебя ни единым словом".
