"illusionists of Cotie" is the result of an extensive work of musical research realized by the chill out project named Catan Cotie which has been developed during the last three years. Seeking to explore new spaces and create new sound images, the work has based its mixings in mashup's (mixing and overlapping different sounds) of Chill Out musics together with the creation of an unique atmosphere within the history of its SETs. 
The experimentation, through creativity, is added to a diversity of styles present on complex mixings. The creation of sub-spaces and parallel sound scenery that dialogue, achieve a golden and illusionist character, so ephemeral and suspended,  that merges the boarders between the real and the imaginary. Rising is a good word to describe this experience that reveals part of the Cotie's magic. I hope you have a good session. Peace!

"Illusionists Of Cotie" é o reflexo de um extenso trabalho de pesquisa musical realizado pelo projeto Catan Cotie nos últimos três anos. Em busca de explorar novos ambientes e criar novas imagens sonoras, o trabalho fundamenta suas mixagens em Mashup's (mistura de músicas e sobreposição de diversos sons) de músicas de Chill Out aliado a criação de uma atmosfera única dentro da história de seus SETs. 
O experimentalismo, por meio da criatividade, junta-se à diversidade de estilos presentes sobre complexas mixagens. A criação de sub-espaços, e cenas sonoras paralelas que dialogam entre si, abrangem um caráter áureo e ilusionista, tão efêmero e suspenso que aproxima os eixos divisórios entre o real e o imaginário. Elevação é uma boa palavra para definir essa experiência que nos revela um pouco da magia de Cotie.

Artist BIO:

DJ Abhay is a portuguese artist addicted to electronic and dance music since he knew this kind of music. He started djjing in 2003, among his friends, playing in some private parties in Portugal. His favourtie kind of music for that time was Psytrance, wich he continues to love and working under this name. Over the years, he felt that mixing only Psytrance doesn't gave him all the opportunities and skills that a Dj must have, so he started to listen and creating alternative concepts about this art. Actually, he is also known as DJ ALB, a project that is more orientated to Tech House and Progressive Techno, but he don't close the doors to Dub, Dubstep, Ambient and Lounge... His sets can be described as deep and groovy, specially orientated to dance floor, but also to create some good environments in all kinds of places. He has been booked to act in some festivals, parties and clubs over Lisbon and Portugal playing side by side with great underground names like Ace Ventura, Captain Hook, Sensient, Dickster, Aphid Moon, Pixel, Talamasca, U-Recken, Tristan, Menog among others.
