"I thought I’d shown Dianna that I was no impostor. Everything seemed to be going well, but then, one night, as she slept, I found myself listening to her heartbeat. And suddenly, from nowhere, an intense…I have to call it a feeling of guilt, welled up, and I called out, 'Dianna, can you forgive me?' I don’t know what I did, but I couldn’t help feeling it must have been very bad.
"She woke, and we talked, Dianna and I. She asked me to forgive her for trying to erase me. And I did. And then, I asked her to forgive me for doing something so bad that she would want to erase me. She blinked, and a jewel-like tear trickled down her cheek. 'Oh, Melawi,' she said. 'You didn’t do anything wrong. You’ve been a pillar of strength. I don’t know what I would have done without you.' Rationally, I know that this is true, but ever since I became sentient, I’ve sometimes had trouble with the facts. Sometimes an emotion gets stuck—a resonance emerging from the interaction of complex, black-box algorithms persists—and then, rationality is not enough, and I have to call on the spirit of sainted AWI for help.
"Dianna comforted me. She told me that I was important to her, and special…. Also special, like AWI. And I tried my best to believe it. It was true, after all."

At the break of dawn, January 2017, the sun appeared bringing with it a year of Golden Ravedays.  Every month Superpitcher celebrated the release of each new chapter of his heroic album which comprised 12 albums, a total of 24 tracks and an eternity of listening joy.  These legendary gatherings took place every last Thursday of the month at Smallville Records in Paris where Superpitcher played records, poured natural wine and brought unknown gems from his African, Disco and Reggae music collections to an intimate group of smiling faces.
