When I was Program Director and producer and dj of 2 shows on CWRU's college radio station WRUW 91.1 FM in Cleveland OH in the early 80's, Bob Harris was the General Manager of the station.  Here is a funny promo he recorded - not very clean since I did not have the original, but was lifted out of an actual broadcast.  Bob Harris later went on to fame as a Jeopardy Champion a few times over and now a successful author, including his hit "Adventures in Trebekistan" and his current book "The International Bank of Bob"

From the vault: Pree Ukraine Broadcast on WRUW 91.1 FM in Cleveland from Feb 13, 1984 (dedicated to love songs since it was a day before Valentine's Day).  This 2 hours broadcast has been edited to about 90 minutes

When Marko Farion was an undergraduate at CWRU (1980-1984) in Cleveland, he was involved with WRUW 91.1 FM, the University's radio station, as a public affairs programmer, disc jockey and Program Director.  He started as a representative of the Ukranian Student Organization hosting the public affairs program "Free Ukraine" and then began to DJ the 2 hour time slot before "F.U.", a show he named "Pree Ukraine" -  featuring new music - which today is termed Big/Retro 80's or New/1st Wave music.  Here is a promo for that show - cut & spliced by Farion (this precedes the "digital" age  - before CDs and computers - where you actually had to cut reel-to-reel audio tape and then splice the pieces together)
