The first take of another J Shaw potential project. Acoustic guitar (Jon on my Breedlove) and trumpet jam along with synth backing.

finally getting my studio more together after that thing in the desert. first run with slate digital mic - tested with native cedar flute into pedal board (active pedals = radiant voco loco, aeros looper, keeley compressor, boss space echo (reverb), donner yellow fall, boss ge-7).  moog matriarch stereo, moog dfam.  practicing handling 3 instruments (well 4 if you count pedalboard, 5 if ableton).

continued exploration of performance setup.  trumpet into slate digital mic to pedal board (active pedals = radiant voco loco, keeley compressor, boss space echo (spring reverb fx), donner fall), moog stereo, dfam.  playing trumpet right hand, knobs on matriarch & dfam left hand.  inspired by a challenging improv and transposition from an open mic with a contrabass and guitar player at silver moon.

88_ Lost Art Dance Inspirations - released on 22 September 2025

I was at the Lost Art Festival Vol. 3 in Berlin on 13 September 2025. Light and sound installations and performances were shown in a soon-to-be-abandoned industrial facility. Music acts were also there, of course.
The only dance performance I attended was at the very end of the festival and didn't really impress me at first. But that changed! #ambient #contemplative #jazz #minimal #only5elements #liverecording

i had to boil my soy beans, make frozen chocolate covered bananas, make salad toppings and dressing from scratch, get groceries, go to pharmacy, do banking, go for hike, fix a computer, order computer parts, order more stuff, plus all the usual chores and barely have any time to listen to or make music. it is like all the once a week chores piled onto today randomly. and tomorrow is clean the septic tank filter day plus another thing. oh well, then after that i will have time but pretty soon i will have to clean the roof again because of the storm
