d_o_ppelgaenger (@d_o_ppelgaenger) - aka David Ortolà - is a pianist, composer, producer, and educator. He is a partner in Estrato Aurora alongside Jaime Romero - aka Pajaro Dune (@pajaro_dune) - and co-founder of the newly launched Sediments label. His music and live performances explore the boundaries between acoustic and electronic soundscapes, weaving a narrative sound design that thrives on contrast and tension. Employing a wide range of aesthetics, often juxtaposed in a chiaroscuro of styles and ideas, d_o_ppelgaenger blends classical instrumentation, electronic synthesis, field recordings, and SuperCollider-based tools.
