I am really excited to share the next Deep Mind Music mix, made by my good friend Amphybian (fka Harry). Over the course of nearly two hours, Amphybian takes us on a wistful and mysterious journey, balancing density and effervescence in a slowly evolving and thoughtfully programmed narrative ☁️🕊️

The first half of the mix takes us up through thick clouds into flight above the earth, providing a vast sense of scale and a humbling perspective. I felt as if I was soaring through the stratosphere, at once both infinite and infinitesimal. As the mix unfolds, mossy carpets of drones and fluttering arpeggios carry us across a limitless expanse, thoughts and details slipping in and out of focus as we spiral inwards 🌀

In the second half of the mix, moments of joy give way to moments of sorrow, coiling into quiet eddies of emotion. The density of sounds slowly evaporate away into more subtle sonic touches and muted colours. I see a wet woodland after rainfall, a dust mote peeking through darkened branches, and the trickling of dewdrops on my skin.

As the mix concludes, and we gently ascend to wakefulness, I’m left with the blissful feeling of a misty sunrise after a darkened dawn. As the evenings grow dark, trees turn, and the air chills, this mix provides the perfect soundtrack for the seasonal shift to introspection 🌙🤍🍂

As we enjoy the summer season, we are delighted to welcome Paragon, the talented curator of the 315th Deep Breakfast mix.

Paragon means a person is regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality. Always open to exploring different sounds, as of lately, Paragon has been discovering more relaxing or different realms of electronic music or IDM. Nowadays you can find in his selections mostly from ambient, broken beats of techno to different types of drum n bass. He has been the curator of the podcast series Parallel Perception, where you can also experience his vision and taste in electronic music.

"This set is part of my Sunday morning routine. Me and a cup of coffee and records that I put in for the quiet mornings. I picked some of my favorite records that I keep coming back on a regular basis. It's not super polished but it's honest something that helps me to wake up and have a good day.
