O Sul do Brasil é um local privilegiado para os fãs da música eletrônica: clubes, festivais e uma cultura que na última década se fortaleceu muito compõem um cenário rico e em franco crescimento – e é dele que o gaúcho Fran Bortolossi surge como um dos mais talentosos protagonistas.
 
Fran começou a tocar no ano de 2006 na Serra Gaúcha, após uma infância cercada por música: sua mãe é pianista e desde cedo influenciou o filho a entender aquilo que aos poucos foi se revelando sua grande paixão. Em 2009 o DJ passou a fazer festas com a música que ele e seus amigos curtiam e desta inciativa nasceu a COLOURS, festa itinerante que já teve mais de 100 edições entre o Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina e que hoje é uma referência nacional em produção e curadoria.
 
Além dos eventos que produz, o talento de Fran também foi se revelando nas mixagens e na construção de sets de House Music: sua residência de mais de 5 anos no clube Havana, em Caxias do Sul, lhe rendeu experiência para que hoje pudesse apresentar seu som em grandes festivais nacionais como  Tomorrowland Brasil e XXXPerience além de clubes brasileiros do porte de D-Edge (SP), Warung (SC) e Vibe (PR). 

Nos últimos três anos turnês frequentes pela Argentina e passagens pela Europa, com apresentações em festas do Amsterdam Dance Event e do Off Sonar (Barcelona) e em clubes como Ritter Butzke (Berlim), lançaram o nome de Fran no circuito internacional. O período também foi marcante no que diz respeito às produções, com mais de seis faixas originais e remixes sendo lançados por selos como LouLou Records, Get Physical, Otherwise Records e Warung Recordings.

No comando das pistas, à frente da produção de eventos ou dentro dos estúdios, o nome de Fran Bortolossi representa talento e comprometimento com a boa música eletrônica.

The ‘Funk Cartel’ is a duo consisting of brothers ‘Blame Rory’ and ‘Kimono Cam’ known for their rave ready flavours, bringing life and soul to the underground sound.

Closer than their relationship as brothers is their relationship with the dancefloor. Way beyond their years in production skills attributed to a close upbringing surrounded by good house music.

The brothers believe that House has an ability to bring people together like no other and that their purpose is to share this message. They have a clear understanding of what works for the crowds and this perfectly translates into their music and style. Their unique weave of deep rolling basslines, intricate keys, and clever energy fuelled percussion leaves a lasting impression on all who hear it and is a true breath of fresh air for the scene. Their sets are frequently stacked with their own distinctive productions and edits.

A relentless work ethic in the studio helps forge their sound which cannot be genre labelled as their music pushes forward in many directions. The formation of their own label THUNDR has not only showcased their own music but brought fresh talent to the forefront of the scene.

The pair has gained a loyal following and they have earned support from the world's top DJs. Earlier this year their first major release came through with a remix on ‘Elrow Music’. The brothers have also produced three House records with dance music legends Ultra Nate, Kathy Sledge & Kym Mazelle providing bespoke vocals.

2020 has been a difficult year for artists but the pair haven’t taken their foot off the gas. They formed part of London’s ’93Feet East’ series, joining selective line up’s with scene heavyweights - a testament to their ability in the booth.

Moving forward their work in the studio is paying off with a signing to Doorly’s ‘Reptile Dysfunction’ and a strong release schedule being planned. You will be hard pushed to find two people with more drive and focus, from clever marketing ploys to get their music to the people that needed to hear it - the now infamous USB wraps - to their presence and productions;  It is safe to say the pair have made a big impact in a very short space of time.

Next year will see a strong focus on solidifying an influential movement within the industry, as at its essence ‘Funk Cartel’ as the pair say “is not just Rory and Cam, but everyone that shares the same enjoyment for the music and its culture”.
