TBX Records continue with a new release, coming from Buenos Aires's finest, Lucio Agustin. Lucio is well-known at Buenos Aires parties, bringing his own sound wherever he goes, and this brand-new EP called 'Ubuntu' clearly illustrates the inspiration that has allowed his sets to develop. The EP's primary track is built on a tight drum beat, and as the bass drops, it transforms into a pretty excellent groover. The synthesizers provide a special touch, while glitchy effects create a quirky atmosphere. 'Chalenge Myself' comes next and showcases Lucio's distinctive bass, which is unique to his sound and will continue to be the driving force in his tracks. The track nicely sums up its underground house style, catchy vocals, and 808 drums. 'Prophecy' takes you on a journey with the ideal use of snares and toms on the build ups, well supported by a bouncy bassline and the large jazz chords in the breaks. This combination accurately describes the feeling which Lucio were seeking to generate on the dancefloor.

Ben Rau has a knack for getting to the heart of what the dance floor needs and wants, and that’s because he's spent more than his fair share of time there. With releases on labels including Knee Deep in Sound , his own INKAL imprint and the iconic BBE Music , plus gigs all over the world everywhere from Amnesia to Glastonbury, BPM to Pitch Festival and a previous Fuse residency, his is a dance floor journey that is decades in the making.  His music is regularly supported by a who’s who of those in the industry and his debut release on MicroHertz is set to continue those high standards.
For his first release on MicroHertz he unleashes his ‘You Got Me Running EP’, and first out of the box is the lead and title track ‘You Got Me Running’ which will get people running to the dance floor when they hear it. On the flip side is ‘Heat It Up’. This has been a big performer for both Hamilton and Rau in their recent sets and it’s a classy groove laden affair which is Ben Rau's signature sound. Rarebit is delighted to welcome long time friend, Parsec to the family. Parsec has been busy carving his path in the minimal house secene, releasing on labels such as Seven Dials, Hedzup and his own imprint Inter Records. It's only right the Cardiff resident releases two signature cuts on the new surging Welsh label! 

Opener 'Dimcode' is a slow-burning and groovy journey through minimal house music.
With skippy drums, it gradually builds tension and energy, giving way to a catchy and pulsating bassline. Parsecs unmistakable subtle electronic textures continue to evolve with additional layers of beeps and bleeps, creating a dreamy and hypnotic atmosphere. The hypnotic elements of the track are further enhanced with the addition of a subtle yet effective use of a female vocal.

Next up, Parsec shows a different side 'Rinsah' This minimal UK Garage record is a bass-driven, upbeat track that emphasises the deep and driving bassline of the track. A classic UK Garage 2 step beat builds in intensity until the Reece bassline enters to provide the main focus of the track. Another journey but this time through the unmistakable sounds of a deep dark and garage rave.

This is a fantastic EP that shows Parsec's refined skills and diversity, tipping his hat to 2 steps but making it sound oh so Parsec! A wonderful addition to the Rarebit catalogue cementing themselves firmly at the forefront of the Welsh Electronic music scene.
