Miffed Out is back with a fantastic two-tracker from Familiar Stranger, a UK-based artist who put his heart and soul into it. 'Take It Back' is the a-side, and it immediately sets the tone for the ep, with some great deep-house vibes accompanied with soulful vocals and a tight bass line and dynamic drum groove. 'They Want' continues in the same vein, but with a darker, more energetic vibe full of deep chords and atmos blended with intriguing low-end work and hypnotic vocal cuts, being a fantastic addition to the pack.

Hosting huge summer releases from label founders Dennis Cruz and Eddy M alongside material from artists across the globe, 2022 continues to go from strength to strength for MÜSE. Up next, the label welcomes Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli for his third appearance as he partners alongside Cuttin’ Headz regular and Pakate Records boss Jean Pierre for ‘Wake Up’ - with the two joined by Colombian talents DJ Fronter and Harvy Valencia, who each deliver slick remixes.
Combining wonky synths, rolling drums and warped vocals, ‘Wake Up’ welcomes a trippy ride as the pair combine styles to take things from the dancefloor deep into the after-hours. DJ Fronter’s remix lays the focus on snaking percussion and shimmering hats for an energetic take, while Harvy Valencia builds on the original’s off-kilter synths and highlights the interjecting vocals through a series of freaky echoes.

Dutch label PIV keeps on serving up the goods as they welcome Belfast youngster Robbie Doherty with another standout track. This one has been doing the damage for some time now on the dance floors around the world, so this is a long awaited release.

Once again here Robbie shows his love of 90's house grooves and a real grasp of depth. It's My Beat is a tight, kicking tune with rubbery bass rumbling underneath razor sharp hi hats. Well placed vocals bring a futuristic sense of soul and as the groove bumps on it's easy to see why floors have been rocking to this one.

This is another fresh sound from PIV and ever more essential artist Robbie Doherty.
