Tommy Vercetti serves up his thrilling new Never Say Never EP on underground favourite Griffintown Records. 

This is an alias of Tom Cox, a UK artist who has released music on tastemaking labels like ANOTR's No Art, Prunk's PIV, Boogeyman and Kerri Chandler's Madtech Records. He was a resident at Fabric in London in 2019 and has since played all over Europe, the US and Australia. His sound is rooted in classic disco and house but always forward thinking. 

Never Say Never kicks off with thumping house drums and whirring synths up top. It's a full flavour cut full of groove with lush chords bringing an early West Coast tech house feel. Another Day is more driving but just as deep and warm. The chords are balmy as they smear all round the mix over slick drums. It's a futuristic house sound that oozes effortless style.

Dutchman Joey Daniel shows his class with a new EP on the vital Boogeyman label.

After more than a decade of organic growth from hard-working local legend to internationally recognised talent, the Dutchman is a master of his own sound. He has played everywhere from Music On to Sunwaves and his label SiO has become a go-to label since its launch last year. Releases from the likes of Guti, Cuartero, as well as of course himself, with music perfectly suited for sun-soaked summer terraces through to bustling basement rooms in winter. He can do it all from deep and slinky house to more minimal techno and plenty in between.

This one kicks off with the compelling Push The Mic, a fat house sound with fresh drum hits and warped synths. There is a dynamic percussive sprinkle up top next to plenty of great FX and ever more punchy drum funk. The Announcement is a slick and quick late night deep house jam that has balmy chords and freaky vocals stitched into the kinetic groove. Antonyms Strings closes down with another warm and futuristic house sound that is laced up with smooth chords and well designed drums and perc.

This is another tastemaking EP from Joey Daniel.

Powerhouse London venue Studio 338 has hosted the world's best DJs, brands and labels for a decade. It is a multi-space venue with world-class production, cutting-edge light and sound, including indoor and outdoor dancing on one of Europe's largest terraces. Now, its partying ambitions are to be matched by this new label, named after the 32 areas of London. It will curate music "which fully channels the team's upbringing on the city's streets and in its clubs. 32 Endz aims directly at the dance floor as it explores garage, tech, rave and generally filthy, bumpy tracks that smash a rave."

First up on the label is standout French pair Amine Edge & DANCE, a duo with plenty of streetwise sounds and swaggering attitude, a love of hip-hop and a track record of serving up oven-ready tunes on their CUFF label, as well as the likes of Desolat, Saved Records and many more. 'Kid Cudi' is a no-nonsense house cut with block-rocking kicks and warm, fat bass. The naughty vocals add extra spice to this most heavyweight of tunes, and it is sure-fire to blow up any club.

Barcelona-born, London-based remixer Daniel Orpi is a man on the rise with standout tracks on labels like Four Thirty Two, elrow Music and Whippin, also picking up high-profile fans such as Danny Howard. His take on 'Kid Cudi' is much more silky and percussive, a lively and restless groove for pumping the party with bubbling bass, steamy synths and plenty of drive.

This is a solid statement of intent from the sure-to-be essential new 32 Endz label.
