TBX Records is back and this time with no other than the very talented duo Perky Wires for their 'Lunasee' EP, which comes complete with a remix from swing-beast Reelow. The title track transports us deep into Perky's subconscious, setting the tone for the entire EP. Housy beat is combined with bouncy bassline, cosmic chords, and stunning voxes. This sound would work just as well in the main room as it would in the darker after-hours. Reelow adds his own spin with a super groovy remix centered on an extremely swinging beat and a lot of minimal sound design. 'No more fears', second Perky's original, is found on the flipside and, like the lead tune, focuses on a powerful dance beat and contagious vocals. Although it has more of a house vibe, this naughty tune has the power to ruin any party on its own.

Seb Zito welcomes James Dexter and Parsec to his ever popular Seven Dials Records imprint with a super slick 4 tracker of fresh forward-thinking sounds, as the pair drop their ‘Rattle EP’. 

James Dexter is known to many in the scene already having been Beatport’s number 1 selling Minimal Deep Tech artist for a year in 2018. He has released on high profile labels such as Rebellion, Gruuv, Dessous and his own imprint Inermu. He’s been supported by key players such as Pete Tong, Nicole Moudaber, Joris Voorn and John Digweed. Cardiff born and raised Parsec has not stopped climbing the ladder since his grooves started to get noticed, and having released on labels like: TBX, Hedzup, and Rendr Records and you can be sure you’ll keep hearing his name in the future. 

The first track on the EP is called ‘Rattle’, and to say that the name speaks for itself is an understatement. Sticking to the funk filled, big beat house vibe, this does not disappoint. Stick it in a warm up set, blow the roof off at 3am or treat the clubbers to something to remember before they go home, it’s not often a gem like this comes around. Next up is a nice, warm appetizer aptly named ‘Hold On’. A tripped-out track with funky beats and deep bass sounds, perfect to start things off with, or close you set to leave a different mark. 

Then comes ‘Inside Voices’ and now our dynamic pair have their foot firmly on the gas as they deliver an absolute stomper of track. Funky, big bass, tight beats galore is on display here, this ripper of a track is going to do serious damage. 

Finally, closing this fine EP out is a track called ‘Super Fly’. This is a track that brings us back to the vibes of the second track from this EP. With its trippy beats, funky bass and sexy vocal samples it’s the perfect ending to an all in all excellent release from the pair and from Seven Dials.

Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society is back with another dope release. This time we bring you Italian label newcomer Louden, who with this 3 track EP takes another massive step in the electronic music scene. 

Characterized by fresh grooves, solid bass lines and sparkling, sweet textures, Louden’s sound is perfect for us here at HHS, and having the backing by the likes of label boss Sidney Charles, Santé, wAFF, De La Swing and Dale Howard to name a few, we’re sure that this isn’t the last time you hear from Louden. 

This 3 tracker begins with the title track ‘Lucky Cat’. A tune that comes at you right out of the gates with its punchy beats and an eerie almost haunting synth tone that slowly but surely leads you to the first drop where you guessed it, the bassline drops like a ton of bricks and fuses with sweeping chords and catchy synth stabs. Next up we have ‘Alter Flavour’, a strange name for the track as we expect this bad boy to be everyone's flavour. Again, the skippy, almost jacking beats fires the engine up before the bass line, tasty atmospheric sounds and on-point stabs make you realize it’s time to put the seat belt on before an accident happens. Not only is this track going to be a staple in many DJ sets, but it's also definitely going in our bag. 

Finally, we have ‘Time Machine’, a very fitting name because after having a groove to this, we suspect many clubbers would want the chance to go back again and again and again. Again he flexes his production skills utilizing funky bass lines, catchy beats, lush synths and sweeping pads. This solid track is the perfect way to end another top release by HHS.

Surge Recordings has cultivated a reputation as a
record label with a hotbed of talent ranging from emerging artists to leading names in house music. This release is no different, living up to their name with a ‘sudden powerful movement’ taking things up a notch with a heavyweight remix package to complement this irresistible offering from Elléot and Andrey Djackonda.
The record starts off with ‘All I Want’ straight in with some tasty drum work and delicate vocals which build throughout the track, combine this with the warm and wobbly pads and dreamy synth work and you have a sure-fire hit!
Next up is ‘Back to Me’ coming in with swung and skippy drums accompanied by deep sultry vocal cuts, gorgeously jazzy piano chords and dreamy pads - a truly dreamy number oozing class and soul.
‘Thiago’ is an ode to Elléot’s newborn son. Kicking off with a light and bright organ before bringing in a snappy drum beat and vocals oozing attitude. Cap this off with an infectious and bubbling groove to underpin this beat and you have a tune Elléot’s newborn will be proud of for years to come.
‘Resku’ starts in a dreamlike state with a sample of the renowned angelic voice of Sade and the duo gives a generous helping of this gorgeous vocal throughout. The track picks up the pace with some trademark skippy drum patterns and swirling synth elements throughout. The outcome is a dreamy number perfect for the warm-up or wind-down.
Moving on to arguably the biggest remix package of 2022, with house legend Sidney Charles first up and his take on ‘All I Want’ bringing a funky uplifting twist to proceedings. Following on from this is East End Dubs bringing his inimitable bassline flavour to ‘All I Want’ coupled with some tasty grooves to boot. Cologne-based production maestro DJOKO steps up to deliver a beautiful remix of ‘Thiago’ bringing his feel-good house style to the remix sure to be a summer staple in DJ sets. Subb-an provides the proverbial cherry on top of the divine musical cake, with his dark deep chuggy remix of ‘Resku’ perfect for when things get weird and wonky in the club.

Sidney Charles' and his Heavy House Society add yet another up and coming talent to its roster as they welcome Mattisou to the label.

Bringing the funk from the Netherlands, Mattisou is a great new addition to the HHS family. Obviously heavily supported by the label boss himself, his productions have gained the respect and attention of most of the big players on the global dance music scene. 

This 4 track quality EP starts off with 'Coming For U'. A funky groover that is irresistible not to shake your booty to. As the track gains speed the huge bassline, the tight stabs and the interesting vocal cut makes this track the perfect way to start off this EP.

Next up Mattisou brings us 'Incognito', a strange name for a track that is as far away from incognito as you can get. With is strong and imposing bassline this stands out amongst the crowd way more than it should for a track of this name. 

At number 3 of this 4 tracker we have 'Ottawa', a track that is as cool as the capital of Canada. With another big rolling bass line and this is funky through and through, making this track one that is sure to be a staple in DJ sets around the globe. 

Last but not least, Mattisou brings us 'Change Of Course' even though, he stays true to his trademark funky groove, that sooner or later collides with the bass line and will get everyone into full flow on the dance floor.
