We are very happy to share the very first - likeminded - release with you delivered by our dear friend and amazing producer Luca Donzelli.
 
- likeminded - is not like the common, genre-specific labels as we know them all too well, not another imprint that’s dropping hardly distinguishable productions every week. The basic principle coming to effect in this venture would be called ‘laissez-faire’ in its mother tongue. 
 
It’s not just one particular style of music to be released here, but rather all sorts of high class productions. likeminded offers a home for everything that represents the different tempers of the contributing producers and stands for diversity, as we believe in total artistic liberty.

Mendo arrives at Likeminded with his two-track 'Back To Humanity' EP, which is complemented by two massive remixes by ZYNK and Luca Donzelli. The title track begins with a vicious percussion loop and develops into deeper vibes with a strong bassline, airy atmospheres, and a trendy vocal sample. The original is rearanged by Luca Donzelli into a more funky theme filled with acid elements and a housy rhythm.The EP's second song, "Don't Want You," maintains the EP's deep atmosphere with swinged drumming, chopped vocals, and a mesmerizing jazzy riffs. ZYNK elevates the original by introducing his distinct style, transforming it into a complete groover.

Jamie Jones recruits Max Dean for ‘Start Screamin’ on Hottrax this July. 

Previously appearing on Resonance, Deeperfect, South Records, and more, Max Dean’s productions receive vast amounts of support from the likes of Michael Bibi and Jamie Jones. Now readying his first release for Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the UK-based DJ/producer drops two groove-laden tracks, marking some of his strongest productions to date. 

Leading the release, the title track ‘Start Scream’ brings swung drums, bouncy basslines, and memorable vocal licks together for an undeniable groover. ‘Yes Baby’ follows suit, bringing another welcome house cut, peppered with spoken word and eerie synth hits over funky low end and skippy percussion. 

Max Dean ‘Start Screamin’ drops on 22nd July 2022 on Hottrax.
