With its' hypnotic synths and seductive vocals, that song will undoubtedly get you moving on for ages. The bass line is constantly hyping along the magical synths that bring on so much space into the vision. For those who love straightforward, but yet cool melodic progressions, this track will rise up a balmy and summery vibe. On the b-side Perky Wires blesses our soul with the heavy low end bass line, that tunes the listener ears to adopt to a hypnotical pad that slightly co-occurs along glitchy effects and ambient sounds. Starting 2023 in style, Dutch producer Odette steps up to the plate for the latest instalment on Metafloor Records. The EP features three original tracks and a remix from London based producer Ollie Rant. Title track “Break That” kicks things off with a deep, subby bassline and a tastefully worked vocal hook. The track progresses to reveal a range of eerie noises and stripped back breakdowns before cutting back into the main drop with a vengeance. Perfect for bringing up those dancefloors. Guaranteed to get you on your feet. “Likey like” is another upbeat number with an equally infectious vocal hook and a rich collection of shuffly drums and skippy hats. The groovy, low-slung bassline rounds off this stellar effort that is destined to shake dancefloors everywhere as we out of the cold winter months. “Lost in playing” rounds of the package building from a deceptively simply bassline, and adding various audible layers as the track develops. We’re treated to a mesmerizing and vibey lead riff with some well worked interplay between the hard-hitting drums, bongos and low-end percussion. This one will take you on a journey deep into the late-night hours. Ollie Rant puts a garage spin on “Likey like” with a two step remix which brings some moody UK energy to a resoundingly solid offering from the Dutch export.

Welcoming a new label to his catalogue, mid-March brings a debut appearance on Revival New York as he unveils his ‘Under The Pillow’ EP - with the two tracks already in rotation for Michael Bibi, Solomun and Skream.

TBX Records continue with a new release, coming from Buenos Aires's finest, Lucio Agustin. Lucio is well-known at Buenos Aires parties, bringing his own sound wherever he goes, and this brand-new EP called 'Ubuntu' clearly illustrates the inspiration that has allowed his sets to develop. The EP's primary track is built on a tight drum beat, and as the bass drops, it transforms into a pretty excellent groover. The synthesizers provide a special touch, while glitchy effects create a quirky atmosphere. 'Chalenge Myself' comes next and showcases Lucio's distinctive bass, which is unique to his sound and will continue to be the driving force in his tracks. The track nicely sums up its underground house style, catchy vocals, and 808 drums. 'Prophecy' takes you on a journey with the ideal use of snares and toms on the build ups, well supported by a bouncy bassline and the large jazz chords in the breaks. This combination accurately describes the feeling which Lucio were seeking to generate on the dancefloor.
