Following 2013’s superb ‘Excommunication EP’ Erkka returns with his most diverse solo release to date, the four track ‘Museme EP’. Title track ‘Museme’ is a nine-minute epic traversing through atmospheric beginnings into dark melodies and driving analogue percussion.

‘Rocky’ channels an old-school electro flavour, combining punchy bass stabs and infectious rave stabs, whilst ‘Deep Purple’ is a unique cut of plucked strings and cascading melodies.

Rounding off the EP and typifying Erkka’s quirky sound is ‘Talk To The Hand’, an energetic groover filled with trademark wonky riffs and spacey sounds.

Following on from a hectic summer touring across the globe, NY producer Joeski returns to the studio to create his next release, due on Crosstown Rebels in 2018.

I was inspired to get in the studio with Liberty and produce on the spoken word tip. Most of the stuff I do with her tends to be along those lines..DEEP AND SEXY HOUSE AND TECHNO MUSIC” Joeski

The EP unfolds with the original version of I Want You - a fierce, driving beat is juxtaposed alongside the sensual and smouldering vocal as the bassline rumbles on. Pure 4am, fist pumping pleasure. The flip side introduces the disco mix of the title track. But don’t let the ‘disco’ lull you into a false sense of security. The track is fuelled by intense industrial sounding smashes and an abundance of layers that creep ever closer.

A founding member of NYC’s The Chocolate Factory DJ Collective, Joeski has been a staple in the underground scene in New York since 1991, holding down a residency at the city’s famed nightclub- Roxy. He’s played alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Louis Vega and Roger Sanchez. His career has seen him release on Electrik Soul, Siesta, Chez and Camouflage as well as launching his own imprint Maya Records in 2001. This year, the prolific producer has juggled a jam-packed touring schedule taking in Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe, as well as Ibiza for Do Not Sleep and Misfits.

Mladen Solomun, DIYNAMIC label head and man of the moment is presenting his ‘Kackvogel’ (shit bird) as the teaser for his forthcoming Watergate11 mix compilation, which will be released late June. This bird with the exclusive naming is a slow-mo funk monster in fine Solomun style and right here for the start of the summer season 2012. The first 500 copies are coming with a full size etching of his Watergate compilation artwork on the b-side!

It's a huge pleasure for Nick Curly and Gorge to welcome Oliver Schories on their label with his debut release for 8bit. Oliver is well known for his great output on his very own imprint SOSO and gained much respect with his Nubreed album on Global Underground end of 2017. Thanks to Jansons for such a fabulous remix he added to the release.
