Cocoon has been following the progression of all things house and techno for many years now. State of the art music, ideas and concepts is what we are always looking for and we are happy that we found another 100% match with the upfront live-concept by PREMIESKU!

The three men group consisting of Livio & Roby together with George G is one of these few stage-concepts that everybody into house and techno should have seen live at least once in their life. It is hard these days to come up with unique and new ideas however Premiesku proves this is still happening. Their current live-show and especially the set-up behind the show is outstanding and develops a massive impact once the first kick drum started to bang. And most important, and also impressive: The three based their live-set-up on analogue gear and different machines!

Premiesku connects a wide range of electronic instruments live on stage with three especially designed consoles & racks tailor-made by an electronic mastermind based in the heart of Romania. With this army of drum machines, analogue synthesizer and crazy effect units Livio, Roby and George are leaving the virtual world aside and create a real analogue environment for their live performances. Which makes perfect sense, because if you want to perfom live, on stage, in front of a real audience with real dancers and real people going crazy you best do it with real instruments and producing real energy rather than calculation numbers. 

Needless to say that this is far more of a live feeling than most laptop artists do generate these days and for the ones who will see/hear PREMIESKU more than once we can assure that every gig of the three Romanion techno-wizards will appear different...

The new floor shaking EP ‘In Sfera’ is a tight package of dance floor groovers that will be sure to kick any night into 5th gear. Every track has its own unique flavour that compliment each other flawlessly, with FUSE boss Enzo Siragusa concluding the collection with a remix of the title track. A champion of all things deep, minimal, and stripped back, Enzo has evolved his unique sound that is showcased in the final number.

The trio pride themselves on pushing the boundaries of electronic live music performance, both technically and sonically and have already tasted success on influential labels such as Apollonia, All Inn Records, Vakant, Pressure Traxx and Djebali to name a few.

They take their custom made analogue hardware all over the globe, including world renowned festivals like Lovelands, Sunwaves and Modernity as well as top clubs including Amnesia Ibiza, Rex Paris and Stereo Montreal. Most recently the guys were back grooving at the legendary Fabric London.

It was clear that after Premiesku took number 21 in Resident Advisors Top 40 Live Acts that 2016 really increased their impact in the underground scene and now they have firmly established themselves as one of the world’s most sought after groups, with the latest EP once again seeing them utilise their expertly crafted and infectiously percussive productions.

Livio &amp; Roby have been central to the acclaimed group of producers that have emerged from the Eastern European hotbed of electronic music that is Romania. Alongside their school-friend George G, the trio have a new project: Premiesku.

The collaboration is a new experience, which is already gaining accolades from many party heads, and acclaimed music professionals. Their first long-player brings together this collective musical experience, and presents a collection of driving and energetic solid grooves, fused with a plethora of colors and sonic twists.

In today’s electronic music climate, which is characterised by an emphasis on overly-complex and technologically-advanced productions, Premiesku have a preference for the warmth offered by the analogue age: their sound is one of subtle synths, dulcet tones and beautiful yet twisted melodies effortlessly layered over intricate drums, all made with no more than loving care, and their specifically customised analogue hardware. The results are percussive, hypnotic and totally-engrossing. 
With each production on ‘Indirect’ stretching to over seven minutes in length, the tracks are given room to breath, which allows the listener completely immerse themselves in Premiesku’s absorbing sonic soundscape.

Beginning with the tinted euphoria of ‘Ceva Care Se Multipli’, the album meanders through a host of sounds and influences. From the bouncing, twisted melodies of ‘Technico Stiintific‘, to gorgeous atmospheric builders such as ‘Mecanism LRG300’ and ‘Discurs pe fundal’, the latter complete with a public announcement vocal - the trio demonstrate both their considerable production nous as qualified audio engineers, as well as their ability to write wonderfully varied music.

In contrast to ‘Tehnico-Stiintific’ and ‘Geneza’, which showcase Premiesku’s more experimental nature with their warped techno grooves, there are also some particularly delicate moments such as the serene ‘In Mod Indirect’. The album ends in particularly strong fashion with ‘Vag’, complete with incessant kick-drum, swirling distorted sounds and cascading piano keys.

Overall then Premiesku have crafted a fascinating experimental electronic album with a Eastern-European twist. Although ‘Indirect’ is evidently inspired by classic deep house and Detroit techno, it is entirely unique and distinctive and one which is certain to keep drawing the listener back again and again.

The collaborative project formed by Romanian duo Livio & Roby, & George G, have achieved what few have attempted before - designed three unique, custom made hardware consoles consisting of parts of various machines that have been completely rewired, modified and re-patched to create extraordinary performance instruments. This absolutely one of a kind set up allows them to achieve their vision of playing without any computers and creates a live jam environment with a uniquely different performance every time they play. That is what their collaboration is about - a stand out new experience, which is already gaining accolades from many party heads, acclaimed music professionals and opinion leaders.

The name reﬂects the music: the crossing of their diverse vibrant inspirations and moods breeds a new concept of genuine, recognisable sound. As virtuoso audio engineers, they intelligently structure their (sometimes) heterogeneous ideas into powerful and dynamic compositions that catch the heart, the body and the mind of a listener. Compact “four to the ﬂoor” patterns, inspired by classic deep house and Detroit techno are switched up and deconstructed, resulting in a hypnotic brew. Driving and energetic solid grooves are fused with a plethora of colours and sonic twists, ranging from Balkan cultural heritage to surreal theatre. The unique style and zealous approach has achieved respect globally and they were placed at number 21 in the Resident Advisor “Top 40 Live Acts”. Furthermore their outstanding production has been released on inﬂuential labels such as Apollonia, Desolat, Vakant, 2020 Vision and All In.

During everyday studio sessions of experimenting and ﬁtting the pieces of their imaginary worlds together, computers with straightforward and intuitive software are a necessary tool. But the digital environment is not enough for expressing all those subtle feelings and stories they want to tell. Essential tools for this transmission are music instruments; they are vital for the articulation of emotions, and sharing it with the audience. That is why Livio, Roby and George decided to leave the virtual world aside and create a real, analogue environment for their live performances.

The concept was launched at Time Warp Lab in Mannheim. The guys presented their machines at the workshop "Premiesku analogue sound“, explaining the new way of playing using the examples from their debut album “Indirect” which was released on Desolat in September 2012.

Since the conception they have gone on to exhibit their dynamic performance at some the world’s most renowned clubs and festivals such as Amesia in Ibiza, Fabric in London, Time Warp in Mannheim, Watergate in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, Sunwaves Festival in Romania and MDNRTY. Looking forward their tour diary is set to take them to every corner of the globe alongside a seriously anticipated string of releases on highly esteemed labels, nothing seems to stop the rise of the Romanian trio.
