OUTLIER is a DJ based in Utrecht, Netherlands. Originally from Ecuador, he moved to the Netherlands late 2019 and began to DJ soon after. Since then, he has performed at multiple local events and recorded podcasts for multiple collectives.
 
Taking inspiration from DJ’s and producers such as Daria Kolosova, Francois X, Chlär and West Code, OUTLIER's sound encompasses different types of genres. His sound focuses on a mixture of groovy and hypnotic elements, putting emphasis on layering multiple tracks through loops and samples. His sets are constructed in a narrative manner, aiming to take the listener on a journey from start to finish. With a philosophy of "If I like it, I'm playing it" his sets are fresh and different but always stay true to his passion for music and DJing.

"Hola, soy Nicky, hoy les vengo mostrando este set que representa un poco de toda mi apertura musical, enfocada en la adaptación a la pista manteniendo un estilo o unas características entre los tracks, enfocado en una filosofía de converger con el público y adaptar mi propuesta musical al mismo... 

Esta vez vengo con un set de hardgroove, fast techno, acid techno y un cierre con algo de trance. Por lo general suelo ser un dj que no se mantiene en un subgénero en específico y en este set quise aventurarme a hacer un set con muchos subgéneros y canciones que considero que tienen armonía entre sí. Evolucionando la línea desde un plano energético como lo es el hardgroove a un sonido algo más rudo sin dejar de lado mi propuesta de ser bailable en el intento. Finalizó con una atmósfera algo más melancólica como solo nos lo puede brindar el trance y sus derivados, la curva del set está planeada para representar los momentos de una fiesta clubbera y los momentos que puedes llegar a pasar durante toda la noche representados en los tracks que toco en esta ocasión"
