Phuture Collective:  ‘Carburetor Complex’ takes one side of a spectrum and completely turns that around as the song finishes. We haven’t heard something so diverse, minimal and innovative perhaps ever. Describe the motivation behind this track specifically.

Indigo Beck: I found a sample of some person chopping wood and it had the perfect quiet atmosphere that just resonated with us and we took it from there.

Noer the boy: We wanted to make the “quietest banger”. The contrast between the beginning and the second half I think will play out real nicely on big systems!

Zane Schaffer x Noer the Boy - Carburetor Complex

The "Black Pedals" EP is the sixth full length EP released via Modern Illusion in 2017. This body of works perfectly exhibits the wide range of influence and ability at the disposal of this young artist. This EP reads more like a thorough self-examination, a consideration of the pretty and the dark lurking in all of us, often seen through the veil of art, but not often exposed in this much detail. 

The recurring presence of gorgeous & lush melodic overtones are used to ease us in and out of the darker, heavy portions of each track. Incorporating warm, enriching bass guides us almost as a compass through these trials and tribulations of our own internal struggles. 

Overall we couldn't be more proud of this release and how far we've seen Brío bring his production as well as how far we've seen him push past his comfort zone. Keep an eye out because this kid and his collective W.Ø.D.A. are going place...
