Inspired by artists such as Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk and Alan Parsons, these sounds perfectly capture the sonic characteristics of legendary instruments such as Minimoog, Buchla, TB-303, Solina, DX, Alpha Juno and many others.

Presence XT - Keyboards adds 8 different keyboard instruments to your sampler instrument library: Accordion, String Ensemble, Clavinet D6, B3 electric organ, Rhodes Mk1 and Suitcase electric pianos, Wurlitzer electric piano, and Grand Piano.

These hand-picked, mint-condition instruments have been recorded in top recording studios around the world. Each instrument includes either multiple dynamic layers or individually sampled registrations for maximum authenticity. All electric piano instruments include scripted controls for Note Off volume, as well as authentic sustain pedal sounds.

The B3 has been sampled with individual drawbars and percussion. Custom script controls provide access to drawbar registrations, long/short, 2nd and 3rd percussion for maximum playability.

The acoustic Grand Piano samples were taken from a contemporary world-class 7ft concert grand piano, recorded with a matched stereo pair of German condenser microphones in the player position. It includes 8 velocity layers, authentic note-off and sustain pedal resonance samples, as well as 4 round-robin release samples for maximum realism.

Presets include alternate registrations and effects. In addition, Instrument+FX presets have been added for unique and characteristic amp and speaker simulation (feat. AmpireXT and Rotor plug-ins on selected instruments).

This sampler instrument collection combines latin percussion instruments with a variety of male and female choirs.

The Latin Percussion set includes Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Splash, Guiro, Tambourine, Cabasa, Cowbell, Traingle, Claves, Shaker, Maracas, Jingle Bell, Agogo Bell, Belltree, Castanet, Cuica, Samba Pipe, Vibraslap, and Woodblock. Each instrument comes with up to 15 velocity layers for maximum realism. A special GM-mapped preset is included.

The mixed male and female Choir features three articulations (Hah, Huh, Hmh) and comes with a variety of presets, including a fully mapped version with all three articulations on key-switches, as well as individual versions for each articulations and stacks. This choir is useful for a large variety of musical styles.

If you're looking for the ultimate acoustic piano instrument that feels at home in any musical genre or style, this Add-on is for you! The Presonus Studio Grand acoustic piano is a sampler instrument for Presence XT and compatible with all versions of Studio One 3 (Prime, Artist and Professional).

Recorded and sampled in a word-class recording studio using some of the finest analog equipment available, this contemporary 7ft concert grand piano offers the perfect balance between individual character and flexibility. This is the same instrument included in the Presence XT Core library for Studio One 3 Professional and the Presence XT - Keyboards Add-on available in the PreSonus Shop - but 10 times the depth and size!

Two different microphone sets have been chosen to capture every detail of this instrument: a matched pair of German condenser mics in the player position, as well as a pair of the finest ribbon microphones available, placed on the side and above the lid of the instrument. Each mic set has been included as a separate instrument. Studio One 3 Professional users have the added value of a Multi Instrument preset that combines both mic sets and allows them to be mixed individually in the Studio One mix console.

The piano has been meticulously sampled to capture every detail of this wonderful instrument. Each note of the octave has been sampled in 10 velocity layers with 8 alternate (round-robin) samples for maximum realism. Add to this authentic pedal action noise, sustain pedal resonances, and note-off samples, all of which are controlled by powerful custom scripts and custom script controls. A variety of presets covers every musical style and allows for deep customization.

1 Upward Expansion Audio Demo

Back in the 70s, sample-and-hold effects from synthesizers were a big deal. This effect synched to tempo, and stepped through a resonant filter. Its cutoff frequency changed on the beat, and held until the next beat, at which point it changed to a different random cutoff frequency. I always liked that effect with guitar, and thought it would make a good Friday Tip, along with a companion, downloadable FX Chain. But I got carried away…check out the audio example, with guitar, bass, and drums. - Craig Anderton
