Debut EP from the artist FENRA. 
FENRA is the electronic project of Portland-based producer B Laws. Drawing inspiration from boundary-pushing artists like Caribou, Four Tet, and Fred Again.., FENRA explores the intersection of immersive soundscapes, propulsive rhythms, and emotional storytelling. FENRA’s debut singles, “Deepcut” and “Free,” to be released in 2025, showcase his layered approach, fusing organic instruments and textures with forward-thinking electronic production.  With a background spanning live performance, global touring, and multimedia production, Laws brings a cinematic sensibility to his music. FENRA’s initial work signals an immersive, genre-blurring approach to electronic music.

Salomão Borges Filho aka Lô Borges was founder of now-mythic Minas Gerais collective Clube da Esquina, co-writing the album of the same name that went on to become a milestone in Brazilian pop history. As a musician he channeled influences from a dizzying array of sources, from jazz, progressive rock, and classical music, pushing local folk and  bossa nova styles into new eras.

Our Pal Phil Mison is one of the pre-eminent practitioners of the "balearic" sound in both his dj sets and production work. After an early residency at Londons Milk Bar, Phil was brought on board by Jose Padilla to play at the legendary Cafe del Mar in Ibiza and honed his chromatic and lyric style with many sunset parties there. Phil went on to release, the "Original Chill Out" and four volumes of the popular "Real Ibiza" series.

In addition Phil has released several albums of original material under the "Cantoma" moniker and has released original and remix work with fellow guest Pete Herbert under the name "Reverso 68" Look for his great "Originals" comp on the Claremont label and hope you get a chance to see him play at one of his many gigs in the UK & Europe. Phil has been a great  friend over the years and we are thrilled to have him join this series.

Pete Herbert (who used to run the Atlas record shop), has blazed a significant production and remix trail while also traveling worldwide for his numerous DJ gigs. In addition to his Reverso 68 and Frontera work (with Phil Mison), Pete has work out as Bakazou and LSB (with baby g), and has the Superdiscoteca edit label. Pete has done remix work for the Juan Maclean, Grace Jones, Badly Drawn Boy, Low Motion Disco, Ilya Santana - the list goes on and on. Pete also has a ton of great solo work - including dance floor crusher "Yo Drums" (on his Maxi Discs label).

Pete is a terrific DJ and brings the same bright intensity to his sets that mark his production and remix efforts. Pete seemingly has an endless stream of tracks and remixes coming out, and we are really happy he made time in his hectic schedule to do this cast with his pal Phil.
