I took this in a way different direction than my usual sounds. Delving into and implementing some wave style sounds and textures I have taken influence from of late. 

Really emotional and full of melodically driven leads while still keeping the integrity of the original tracks feeling and cadence.  Hope fans of my music enjoy this vision and deviation from the sounds you've become accustomed to hearing from me.

They first met during a very dark time in the universe known as the Great Skrillex Depression. Working together in the deep coal mines of Noisia is where these two honed their skills.

Pressha being a master of the Abacus and Kat1lyst being highly skilled in the art of Taxidermy these two knew they had no choice but to team up.

Shortly after coming together to form the PiG alliance these two went on to create life changing inventions. Things such as the Fizzy Lifting Drink, Swiss Cheese, The Revolving Door, The Cucumber and the most important thing of them all.. Their 8th mix in a series of mixes.

I was invited to share my take on world music. Naturally I made a set of world bass, dubstep and tribal trap. This was a fun night and really appreciate the Caravan crew for having me out to share my journey. 



A little about Caravan

What will you hear at a CARAVAN night? This show is an open-format show where each DJ can play any genre of music they’d like. There’s only one rule: they must incorporate instruments, languages, and sounds from around the the world throughout their set. This creates the feeling of traveling through the world together as one caravan of people.

CARAVAN is inspired by the true-life historic Silk Road that wound its way through Europe, Asia, and Africa. Along this route, there was a mingling of cultures and backgrounds that provided a platform for them to interact, come together, and contribute to a newly created global market. We have the same vision to create a global connection, this time through music.
World music is genre-fluid & promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and overall respect for one another. You don't need to know the instruments or the language to understand its meaning and appreciate its beauty. This appreciation sparks cultural curiosity and investigation. It’s a concept that brings us all together, and it's a dream we want everyone to feel included in.

Sex to Make Dubstep to

Here is a live recording of my set Saturday night at Nectar opening for Marcus Marr and Juan Maclean.  

Nectar has a dash of everything when it comes to the type of crowd that comes through its doors.  So with this mix of young and old age dancers and these headliners being primarily known for their work in house music I wanted to build a set that would catch people's attention but still not take too much energy from what these worldwide artists are known for. 
This one has a lot of classic hip hop throwbacks with new edits and fun takes on trip hop and funky midtempo into more current nu-disco and tech house.

Happy to share my latest work with you. 
I have found a soft spot for Billie Eilish lyrics, voice and whole persona but felt like the original tracks pop style beat didn't quite portray the emotion in the lyrics of this one so I made my own with a darker 808 dancehall hybrid feel. Had a lot of fun with this and think DJs and listeners alike will too.

My haunting sexy take on a world beat, tribal, melody driven floor filler.  Sure to be a play for those late night festival and after-hours club sets. 

It was my first time doing a remix for someone else, had a lot of fun creating this vision on an already beautiful track.

Creating this vision after hearing the original over and over was something I felt compelled to do.  I really wanted to give it an edge and bridge the gap between hip hop and bass, something that could be rocked in the club and big sound systems at festivals.   I've been focusing way more on sound design and synthesis as well as deeper in music theory and I am happy to share this one with you.

Trillville - Some Cut (Pressha X GLTY Flip)

This is our remix EP we made from stems we received from Minnesota, DMVU, Eprom x Zeke Beats by donating to the Black Lives Matter movement.

We havel in turn put the EP out on Bandcamp and Audius/Soundcloud as a "pay what you want" with all proceeds going towards the movement.

We know how important black culture is to us being able to make music and thrive and we want to give back to that just as the artists that gave out their stems have done.💫💥👁
