Anarcho-dub punks from Nagasaki, Japan, this mutating crew of anti specialists, are united in one sonic aesthetic, and that is to seriously f-ck with digital dub steppas. 
 
Disciples of Jah Shaka, Iration Steppas and Aba-shanti, but based in faraway Japan, G36 have chosen to fiercely mess with Roots, whilst consciously steering away from the stale formulas of conventional reggae.  Instead they channel the pummelling attack of stripped back steppas  rhythms via their passion for manga, science fiction and S&M, into brutally overdriven, ballistic dancefloor weapons. Like Mark Stewart + Maffia versus Underground Resistance for dread dub militias.
 
The ‘Vex Riddim’ included here, provided the backing track for NAZAMBA’s
recent killer 12”, ’Vex’ on PRESSURE, which Kahn, OBF and Don Letts spun mercilessly.
 
‘Floor Weapons Vol.1’ has already received support for the relentless riddims
from the likes of Optimo, Jk Flesh, Ishan Sound and OSSIA (Who will release their follow up single on his Hotline label imminently).

The first release from The Bug’s ‘PRESSURE’ label in 2019, is an absolute sound system crusher from JK Flesh(aka Justin Broadrick Godflesh/Jesu/Zonal etc…). Three tracks of the slowest, heaviest, dread techno you are ever likely to hear. Plus a remix from The Bug himself, in full doom riff mode. 

Kevin Martin (aka The Bug) is quoted as saying “I’m as proud of dropping this epic 12”, as i was of being the person to release Godflesh ‘Love is a Dog from Hell’, many moons ago on my old label Pathological Records. This time around, Justin again redefines absolute heaviness,  but in a club format, as he gets sociopathic with his homicidal riffs and deep space explorations. Absolute malevolence, a complete body slaughter. I virtually begged Justin to let me release ‘In Your Pit’ ! haha. And i’m very happy he agreed and additionally passed me two more tracks of utter dirt”

JK Flesh has previously released music via Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe imprint, Regis Downwards label and Vatican Shadow/Prurient’s Hospital Productions. He also recently released a split album with Goth-Trad, entitled ‘Knights of the Black Table’.

If this ‘E.P.’ is any indication of what 2019 holds for the label, this year will further intensify the label’s promotion of “Dub, Dancehall, Grime and Dirt” and absolute speaker shredding carnage.

provides the third PRESSURE release of 2019. This strictly limited, blue and yellow splattered 
vinyl platter is futurist dancehall at its most exhilaratingly demented. 

Random synth patterns, chaotic bleep emissions and all round oscillating madness ensures this furiously fresh track, flows freakily, like a bogle frenzied droid transmitting from Kingston, Jamaica, 
year 2049.

Kevin Martin aka The Bug, nagged Mitch into submission, to release this Acid Ragga killer, after the PRESSURE label CEO, heard ‘Not Modular’ standing out clearly from Mitch’s gobsmacking one hour ‘Techno Dancehall Mix’ at the end of 2018. 

And as a tribute to South East London don dada Mitch, The Bug himself decided to slice, splice and dice ’Not Modular’ into two additional atomised remixes. The Bug’s  ‘Straight’ remix, is sub aquatic bashment, pulsating deeply from the bottom of the ocean, buried in a blizzard of white noise and disembodied, hypnotic chimes, with panic sirens set to stun. Whilst the ‘Raw remix’ is no less disorientating and funky, sounding like Lenky’s classic ‘Diwali’ riddim rewritten by an 808 clap addict, with hips set to full rotation. Conclusively alien and ridiculously infectious.
