Kincaid is set to appear on a new split EP from Banoffee Pies Records, a label which has risen to prominence over many years. The new release Kincaid collaborate with J.Caesar on vocals, a dubbed out cut built for the heads down dancer and late night wanderers.

For the first release of the 10” series, we welcome Design Default to the Dome with an EP that effortlessly orbits a beautiful yet precisely constructed world. The release encapsulates the atmosphere of his previous ambient works with the energy of his left of centre club releases demonstrating the depth of output this Parisian producer is capable of.
 
On the A-side, we dip into his distinctive approach to sound design with glistening melodies, flourishing through an array dreamy soundscapes on Eta Aquariids. We welcome back PD favourite Sputnik One whose rework ups the energy levels with a flip certified to move the floor while maintaining the euphoria and bliss of the original.

On the B, we are again transported to unexplored worlds on the uplifting journey of  Kagura where fragmented particles collide on the backdrop of uplifting otherworldly atmospheres.

Takama-ga-hara reflects the lofty sacred world from which the name implies - weaving through a haze of influences giving us something beautiful, engaging and unique and following on from a tough couple of years, a positive look into the future as we move towards more freedom, connection and positivity.

Maroki launches the Spitskool Records imprint with 3 cuts of absolutely devastating club orientated sounds. Spitskool is a platform for Maroki and Coralie AKA ‘MXC’ and friends to release their music that perhaps wouldn’t fit elsewhere. Although it seems there is now a home at last.

‘AC4XT’ is a sleeping giant, again using the powerful rips and an earth shattering break and a sub that is oh so reminiscent of the old DMZ days but wholly different. The synth lines are tactile - loud, almost overpowering at times but once they disperse the space that is left is wide and compelling.

With previous releases on W133 and Loch Inn, and having played at Amsterdam's legendary club De School's closing, samwho has fully established himself as an undeniable talent in the Dutch dance music scene. Melbourne based producer, DJ and co-founder of Sumac Records, Jon Watts delivers his Butter Sessions debut, Music for 3 CDJs. With over 10 years experimenting as an artist, Jon has an established history with the Australian underground scene. Music for 3 CDJs, showcases two contrasting sides, revealing his ability to seamlessly navigate manifold sounds.

The A-side presents three distinct tracks, thread together with restless percussion and a propulsive force. The introduction to the EP, Prohaasation, is a medley of techno and electro fabrics which progressively build before abruptly halting -- generating suspense for the track to follow. The feverish William gasps and screeches in tones that peak and fall, accompanied by audio maintained throughout; reminiscent of a malfunctioning fax machine. Now It’s Done is a choppy and disjointed piece yet coherent in its structure that makes for a rewarding conclusion to the release’s first chapter.

Subtlety and minimalism prevail for side B, as Jon gifts us with loops that swirl and churn. AMB 4 marks the first deviation from the narrative of Side A; sounding like hypnotic swelling from the bottom of a deep well. AMB 5 follows suit, divulging more of the picture. Carved out of a sound bed of field recordings, the nine and a half minute piece enchants with its repetitive arc, a spaciousness mirrored in the EP’s farewell. The last track Piano 1, is an intricate study of a singular piano chord, examining the layers of the chord’s sustain that are disclosed. A testament to Jon’s unadorned restraint and confirmation of the old adage that less is really more.
