This release sees them combine forces for the first time in these two mind bending cuts, going deep down the rabbit whole with some truly exciting sonic adventures.

With just one (meaningful) release per year, Naural finds itself in a restless search for sounds that affect us differently than all that we've heard so far. It's 7th wax is introducing talented Einzelkind, featuring one track on each side. 
The Hoal distinguishes itself through a thrilling array of fractured vocals and dark whispers building suspense, while punchy percussion and the rolling bass-lines add a delirious narrative, making this record a subtle killer. 
On the flip-side, Bad Wire connects us to a piece that revitalizes contemporary dancefloors, being stripped-down, drawn-out and sparse, with engaging shifts and an original human touch. A guide back toward something resembling reality.

Einzelkind - The Hoal [Side A]

Einzelkind, the artist named Arno Völker, is part of a small collective of producers and DJs within Frankfurt’s techno scene. Known best for their love of stripped-back house and techno, their music is tied closest to Frankfurt suburb Offenbach, and more specifically the region’s best club, Robert Johnson. A number of different crews make up this group of artists: one of them is Völker’s label Pressure Traxx, while others like Traffic and HardWorkSoftDrink share a similar musical ethos.
 
Though he was making music long before Pressure Traxx, in the last six years it’s the main outlet Völker’s become known for. He’s released seven of the label’s records, mostly alongside co-founder Frost. These typically feature nostalgic 90s-style acid sounds, crossed with raw minimal and breakbeats. Other Pressure Traxx affiliates include Ricardo Villalobos, who joined forces with Völker for last year’s 'Arnorac EP'. Völker returns to Farringdon at Cocoon next weekend, so he sent us a mix drawing from the same dubby house and minimal that make up the label’s sonic identity.

Two German talents in Chris Wood & Christian Burkhardt link up once again to release their 'A New Life' EP on the Ibizan label Oblack, which features a transformative remix by Einzelkind that has recently received support from Ricardo Villalobos during his DJ sets. 

Throughout Einzelkind's long career he's been a fixture in respected underground circles, supplying the scene with standout tracks on labels like Pressure Traxx, the label he co-founded with Frost, as well as Cocoon Recordings, Housewax, Infuse and more. Now this new ripper, with a wicked bass-line, grooving percussion and subtle atmospherics, is proving once again that Einzelkind produces unique anthems aimed directly at the dancefloor.

The 'A New Life' EP is set for release August 10.

Einzelkind is a Dj and producer from Frankfurt am Main. He is the owner and curator of Pressure Traxx, La Peña, and Harlo labels. Also, he is a Resident Dj at the Robert Johnson club.
Giuliano Lomonte hails from Andria in the south of Italy, deeply in love with vinyl and strongly affected by trippy - groovy tunes, Giuliano is absolutely passionate in playing long-lasting sets. Through releases on Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch Label, Point of View, and Frankfurt’s Pressure Traxx, you can hear Lomonte's musical vision in its purest form.
Einzelkind and Giuliano are really good friends and they are gonna release a few records together so this B2B collaboration between the two it just came naturally.

"It will happen from time to time in the future but we are not pushing it or anything. If we play at the same party and we´re in the mood we just gonna play together. So there is no big idea behind the booth sharing, only friendship and the same taste in music.

Cocoon Ibiza Takeover: Einzelkind - Saturday 18th August 2018

In the studio, great friends often yield great results. Such is the case here with Arno & Dana Ruh, who team up for the first time here on Ruh’s much-cherished Brouqade label. Under his Einzelkind alias (now dropped here as he resorts to his actual first name), Arno helms Pressure Traxx, a label that can legitimately claim to be one of minimal techno’s most unconventional and consistent labels. As such, it’s no surprise that these two share a great musical bond.  

We get underway courtesy of the drum-heavy sounds of ‘The Dial Up. As is these guys’ way of doing this, this one is full of unpredictable twists and turns, and from the off it’s immediately apparent that their individual talents bring out the best in one another. Watch out too for the interesting samples, from old-school Internet dial-up sounds (hence the title) to beeping mobile phones. A tech-heavy roller with some swing, it gets us going in quite elaborate fashion.

On the B-side, the pair exercise their penchant for deeper strands quite expertly on ‘Echo Cancellation’. A thrilling cut that magnificently joins the dots between the intricate and the banging, it’s full of captivating rhythms and off-kilter vocal samples, with the latter being a core component of both producers’ recent output. Dexterous and enticing, it’s a track that’s sure to earn repeated plays from discerning deep house heads over the next couple months. 

The action then culminates soon after thanks to ’Teletype’. Again, subtle vocal snippets weave in and out, but it’s their pairing with the track’s dramatic acid gurgles that really drive matters forward. Intricate sounds, impeccably produced: here’s hoping this is not the first and last time we see Arno & Dana join studio forces.
