In the process of writting this tune my collaberating partner (Wes a.k.a. This track is a werk in progress that sprung forth from my head as I had this daydream that I was working on a bangin D&B tune the other night, but it was interrupted by my damned sleep apnea. Unable to re-achieve semi-unconsciousness I got on up & started work on this. 6 hours later I'd taken what I remembered of my half sleep/wake idea & what began to materialize was a new track that's a running lil D&B # with some nice curves-n-dynamics. Hope one-n-all will give it a listen.

DJ Jon Doe - The Nightmare I Had Last Night @ My Girlfriends House On Oak Street - 3

Whazup World Wide Web,

DJ_Jon_Doe (a.k.a. J Doubles all U's - a.k.a. Am Not) here & this is an introduction to who am I & what I'm striving to do with this label I'm werkin on getting off the ground.


So what makes me tick? ~ That's a good question & the best answer is simply music. I've been collection records since around 86-87, DJ'n under the name DJ Jon Doe since around '91 & whenever people ask me what type of music I play I tell'em "whatevasoundzgooood". I've also been producing music for a while now & have more than enuf material for my 1st full length release of 10 or so other tracks. Now I'm werkin on getting enough product together for 2 other 12"~3 tracks EP's along with trying to save enuf $$$ to be able to press them to Vinyl (and I'm getting closer to being ready to come out swingin every day).


In both my DJ'n & music production I don't limit myself to a certain style or genre, rather I try to see what's goin on in as many aspects of music as I can get my hands on & then by having a lil bit of just about any/every style of dance orientated music out there I can incorporate certain aspects from each of'em in new & exciting ways so that hopefully I'll be able to entertain everyone I can as best I can. And it has been that approach to music that has helped-n-blessed me to be able to perform @ such functions as ambient gatherings w/both Andy Hughes & LX Patterson of the Orb (on separate occasions), funky break parties w/Robbie & Gavin Hardkiss, warehouse shindigs w/Brett Johnson, Boo Williams & Glenn Underground, record store throwdowns where TC Islam was freestylin ova my beats & D&B raves w/Dieselboy, AK1200 & most of the Junglesky crew (to throw around some names). 


Why do I do what I do, you may ask? ~ Well, my reply to that'd be (in no particular order of importance) - [1st] I LOVE music (in almost every form/fashion/genre it comes in) - [2nd)] I love the feeling I get when I see the people on the dance floor just oscillating - knowing that what I'm doin behind the decks is having a direct effect on everyone's good time (that's a truly addictive feeling) - & [3rd] I do this because music is meant to be given-n-shared with EVERYBODY!!!! That's why I'm givin y'all a preview of what I can do & what I've gonna have comin at ya in the near future. 


I am currently the only full-time artist on the roster, but I have collaborated with a few friends of mine (DJ Kiki, Andrew Wade & That Guy Damien) all of whom I give credit to where credit is due & I thank them for their ability to put up with me long enuf to put out a track or 2, their assistance with the whole production process & most of all for their love, support, & continued friendship. Also I am aware of the irony of callin my label PressYur Trax 2 Vinyl Records & making the company logo that of an anti-mp3 sign, then posting the promo teaser trax to this site in mp3 format. Believe me if I had the funds to press up some vinyl currently I'd be doing that as a 1st step instead, but alas I'm not a lottery winner, trust fund kid nor have I received any financial assistance into this endeavor of mine from any outside source - I am trying to do this all on my own & I know I'll be able to make it happen thru hard werk & musical ability.


Also this past summer, 2011, I was invited to perform my 1st ever Live P/A set & the Kansas City Electro Music Fest back in July 2011 where I World Premiered  10 Original trax of mine.
