Letters are the building blocks of language — and sound is the alphabet of emotion. Alpha Bet takes that idea and transforms it into a universe of frequency, rhythm, and energy.

Across 26 tracks, each representing a letter, Saint VII constructs a living, breathing lexicon of bass. Every tone, every modulation, every fragment of distortion becomes a symbol — an expression of balance between order and entropy. From the silence between notes to the gravity of sub frequencies, this album speaks in vibrations instead of syllables.

Next up on Lifestyle we celebrate our past year of releases, and give a sneaky look into the future of the label; it’s the Lifestyle Annual 2018!

This Annual marks an important moment in the life of the label; for the past couple of months we've had our heads down, thinking about what's important to us here at HQ and how to revise our look a bit. This has resulted in a fresh approach to our brand and a more refined visual style moving forward into 2019, we are very excited about it and can't wait to show you what's in store!

We’ve knocked our heads together and picked out 16 choice cuts of prime Lifestyle material from the past year, tunes that have stood out to each of us as the finest our label had to offer in 2018. We tried to keep it reasonably varied, but didn’t do so well, so expect a heavy concentration of that deep dark tech inside, as well as a splattering of other distinct sounds. 

While we have got some of the Lifestyle ‘anthem’ tunes in there, we’ve also been careful to include some for the real heads, tunes that some might have missed first time round, that we reckon deserve excavating and rinsing out. 

As if this wasn’t enough, we’ve also thrown in 10 brand-new tracks, featuring some very close connections! A lot of these tracks are from new voices we’ve just started listening to in the scene, and to make it extra personal, four of the ten tracks come from the team here at the label! Mandie, Jamie, Jono & Mersen (+ Ken) dug in and came out with some tracks of their own for the release, including the first ever release for Combine with ‘Retrograde’, a super-vibey deep liquid banger. This exclusively personal touch is the cream on the cake of this release, which itself crowns what was the best year for our label yet. 

We hope you enjoy this release as much as we enjoyed putting it together. We’re deeply indebted to all the artists we’ve worked with over the past year and beyond, without them making the tunes, and you lot buying the tunes, this label would be nothing, so we’re forever grateful for all your support in 2018, and hope we do you proud this year. We’ve got some big plans in the pipeline that we can’t wait to let you all know about, so make sure to stay connected and informed! Portuguese upcomer Jabaru makes is Boey Debut with a slick 3 track outing. 

DUXXI is straight up, it hits hard with warm bassline, big drums, eerie chants and hefty rolls from the get go. 

Future; the EP's title track; lives up to its name with a futuristic soundscape and palette that drops into a heavy bass with interesting drum patterns keeping the vibe going throughout. 

Kingpin rounds off the release with a stepping beat with busy percussion and a deep rolling low end. 

Stoked to have this talented new artist a part of our roster and emerging on Boey Audio, no doubt you can expect to see plenty more from Jabaru around the scene and on the label during the foreseeable.

Brazilian D&B producer Bungle has dropped new EP ‘Runaway', out 1st September via the rising Eloisa Records.

The three track EP begins with title track ‘Runaway’ that see’s a rolling and grit fuelled bassline interject superbly with sharp and snappy percussion. Things take a deeper and darker turn with ‘Unleashed’ as technical and expansive atmospherics run rampant throughout the tune as the drums chop and change exquisitely. Seeing things home is an industrial growler, and not one for the faint hearted. The aptly name ‘Articulate’ is Bungle at his best and will no doubt be a choice cut for DJs across the drum & bass spectrum. 

‘Runaway’ marks the fifth release on the burgeoning Eloisa, the fresh  imprint ‘on a mission to surpass barriers in the D&B scene’. Under the Inperspective Music Group umbrella, the label is determined to instil some fresh energy across the genre. Knowing no limits in its expression or style of the broad drum & bass genre, the only thing we can be sure of is that whatever they release, it will be quality.

Having released on the likes of 31, Critical, Spearhead, C.I.A and Soul:R to name a few, real name André Oliveira Sobota aka Bungle has consistently represented the highest echelons of drum & bass music.

A stunning collection of hard-hitting and gritty cuts primed and poised to screw-up faces across the globe, Runaway is another superb release, from what’s fast becoming a superb record label.
