Newcomer @erenarif makes his debut on the label with two punchy bass driven rollers, made for those primetime dancefloor spots. His EP, aptly titled ‘Invention Of Time’, is accompanied by a remix from northern powerhouse @keplerleeds whose rework of the EP’s namesake is a ravey, heads down hands up, tech house thumper. Rounding off the year, 'Invention Of Time' makes up the fifth release in an ever expanding discography for Disculture.

Enzo Siragusa and Alexkid’s Kilimanjaro project first appeared on FUSE London in late 2013 and offered a refreshing exploration of house music informed by jungle’s production style. This Summer the duo are set to reunite as they continue to join the dots between House and Jungle with the ‘Kilimanjaro Sound EP’, the latest installment of their much-hyped project.

‘Kilimanjaro 2’ is a remarkably simplistic yet brutally effective opener, which kicks the EP off in fine style, effortlessly fusing elements of house and jungle together. Trademark crisp jungle drums underpin an off kilter house beat while vocal wails and a pulsating jungle reese bassline shakes the track to its core. 

On ‘Kilimanjaro 3’, while the deadly deep bass remains, the track develops along a techier-tangent. Enzo and Alexkid strip everything back to its ferocious bare bones with an engrossing four to the floor beat complemented by mechanical swirls of sound and yet more bone-shuddering bass.

‘Kilimanjaro 4’ follows on another 4/4 trajectory but this time a ‘hold it, now wait’ Hip-Hop sample takes center stage. Supplemented by rich atmospherics and recurring blasts of bass ‘Kilimanjaro 4’ is another killer track made with superior standards of production quality.

On the ‘Kilimanjaro Sound EP’ it is clear that Enzo Siragusa and Alexkid have found a winning formula as they expertly fuse together the unmistakable guttural physicality of jungle with more delicate house sensibilities. The ‘Kilimanjaro Sound EP’ contains just the right mix of these elements as the duo deliver a forward-thinking and unique 12” designed to send the dancefloor into overdrive.

Instead of detailing the tracks ourselves, we wanted to share the heartfelt words of our talented pals:

The A Side - Harry - "This release has been a long time coming, and it feels amazing to finally share these tracks—especially on a label run by friends who truly care about the music and the scene. I started these tracks in 2020, and even after all this time, I still love them. They capture a fun, carefree energy from when I was having a blast making music. There’s no deep meaning, but they take me back to my tiny shoebox room, hunched over my Korg Electribe ER-1, just having an absolute blast.”

The B Side - Dowd - "These tracks were created two years apart and reflect my mindset at the time. The first was made after a busy summer of festivals, so it’s upbeat and playful. The second broke my writer's block in spring 2023, and I’m thrilled they’re finally out for everyone to enjoy.”

Denney's remix has a deeper feel to it, using his trademark bassline, spacey stabs and futuristic effects inbetween well placed vocals, this remix is musical heaven!

Ceri delivers what can only be described as a DC 10 Terrace BOMB! Think sunny daytime terrace vibe with driving percussion and stripped back vocals building throughout the track.
